No. He could've earned a protected spot as an emergency QB but he was bad. I'd like to see what he could do on San Francisco's Practice Squad for a year. He's got the Shanahan skillset.

Just about every total new staff, brings in "their" guy at QB.

best deal is this maybe the best QB coaching staff in panther history, in fact it is.

I like Fitt. I think he’s made more good than bad so far. I also think that is true for the top GMs in the league. The expectations for perfection are completely unrealistic around here.

Overall I concur. The bad cannot be overlooked though because we are still waiting on his first winning season as GM. The longer the wait the more amplified his failures will be because as some folks have told us over the years here repeatedly. You are what your record says. That's just the nature of the business. Hopefully we can string together a better record this season.

Here on the huddle a lot of people would have you believe Scott Fitterer has been pressured into moves that ended up being bad for the team. But the moves that ended up being good are definitely all him. Seeing a repeat of the worship like behavior we saw with Gettleman once upon a time.

It's hard to know what was Fitts and what was Rhule other than Fitts was drafting certain types of guys that fit the Rhule mold and scheme, whatever the hell that was. I'm not impressed with his panic moves the past 2 years, first with MC and this year with Johnson. We'll see what happens with his other picks, but right now, he's pretty much middle of the road, not great, not terrible, just meh.

Very reasonable take.

I like Scott Fitterer too. As far as the question of what was him and what was Rhule. I'll just leave you with this. He's been outspoken on his thoughts about Ian Thomas being an asset for us despite the results showing the complete opposite. He's got some flaws.

thats "shoulders" aka cody form the C3 podcast. bad take and i never got into their podcast too much cringe and talking over each other.

I like it because its just seems like regular dudes that love the panther talking about the team.  Cody does try and take a professional scout take way too much.  Screaming about Corral being an all world prospect and saying brady christenson is a better LT then icky are just 2 of his wild ass takes.  He needs to leave the scouting reviews at the door and just talk panthers

theres more each day, only one i watch is meow mix(bad name). its my speed. the canada dude was ok as well. plus half the show is callers with bad calls....

rashad and dave are fine, just prefer meow mix

locked on panthers is a daily deal, meow mix super lacks about consent content, loads less vids than all the others.

Maybe you could explain what how Frank operates has to do with not liking the scapegoating done in the NFL when things get bad?  Or the standard praise and of how well everyone matchups/works together when someone new is brought in?

I could try, but given that you actually think your gut can you give you a more reliable idea of what's "really happening" than reports from actual coverage, I doubt you'd listen to it anyway 😂

(making up your own narrative is always easier than getting the actual facts of course, but hey...)

Suffice it to say Reich isn't necessarily looking to throw anybody and everybody under the bus if things go wrong. He prefers a collaborative approach.

(hence the numerous "diversity of thought" quotes you might have seen if you paid attention to such things)

Fitterer operates the same way, i.e. the way they did it in Seattle. Both he and Reich have expressed such things several times.

I get that you wanted (and apparently still want) to dump Fitterer regardless of whether facts support it or not, but it doesn't look like the team agrees.

Guess you'll just have to hope he fails, given that you'll wind up looking like a total dumbsh-t if he doesn't 😂

    • I don't get the Hunter hate. Just imagine his ceiling if he stopped trying to be this 2way freak and focused on one side of the ball
    • 100%.  You have to play the cards that are dealt.  Not the cards you wish were dealt.
    • I'd say its definitely going to be addressed this off-season.  We went into the last draft with a roster of RBs including:  Chubba, Blackshear, and Miles Sanders. We picked Jonathan Brooks in the second and still signed Rashaad Penny afterwards.  Fast forward....One turned into a top 10 back, 1 is injured/out for most if not all the '25 season, 1 retired, 1 will either take a huge paycut or be cut, and the last is a restricted free agent. We brought in Mike Boone as well. Add him to the free agent list also.  We need a physical option.    Which qualifies:  Ashton Jeanty(Boise St): Overall ranked Top 10. Almost 2k yards after contact, 28 tds. Would take our first rounder. My money would be on an NFC East team selecting him. (97.2 PFF run grade) - 121 forced missed tackles.  Omarion Hampton(UNC): Ranked everywhere from 20 - 59 overall. Consensus #2 back after Jeanty. He'll be a second rounder. 1,222 Yards after contact w/ 15 tds.  (90.5 PFF run grade) - 72 forced missed Tackles Kaleb Johnson(Iowa): Ranked from 38 - 69 depending on which media outlet you prefer but generally #3. 2nd/3rd possibly. 1,060 Yards after contact w/ 21 tds.(86.7 PFF run grade)- 66 forced missed tackles Cam Skattebo: Ranked from the 50's - 104. Every mock I do he ends up BPA at some point. 969 Yards after contact w/ 17 tds(92 PFF Run Grade). Probably the best receiving back of the group. 81 forced missed tackles.  If the '24 and '25 draft classes were combined, IMO the rankings would be, in order: Jeanty, Hampton, Brooks, Johnson, Skattebo. I wouldn't take one high but I'd take one for Chubba and Brooks insurance.
