Which position group is better than why? I say 2023. This two contrasts, combined with the fact that Cam threw for 4k yards with that crew, is why I'm not concerned for Bryce.

Easily 2011. It's basically Smitty vs Thielen/Chark. The rest have potential but haven't really proved anything at this point. Chark had a pro bowl season but has been hamstrung by injuries.

I mean, 2011 had HOF WR that could turn nothing into something.  Which is basically a cheat.  He alone gives 2011 the edge. 

You might also could argue you really have to include the TEs given how that was prioritized in terms of the pass game.   And that really slants it to 2011.

I think you will have to let this year's group play out the season before you can compare and contrast between the two groups.

On paper, this WR group with 2011 Cam would have been even more bonkers. But thats on paper. Its difficult to compare a finished season to one that hasn't begun when the seasons are over 10 years apart.

Brandon LaFell was an excellent second option that year. It might have been the best year he had in the league. Shockey, Olson, and Stew were all prioritized as pass catching targets ahead of the rest of those guys aside from Smith. So for me, it looks like we had a number one, a number two, and several 4th or 5th WR on that 2011 team. This team has Thelen as a generous number one/high end two, Chark as a high end two that is injury prone, a number three in TMJ, and Mingo who is a wild card with a lot of potential. I would take the 2023 group even though the passing assembly with Greg has a hall of very good TE and Shockey as a pro bowl TE skews it heavily in favor of 2011. The WR group alone, it's hard to defend 2011 as being better and my memories of LaFell are kinder than most.
