This seems to happen every year.  They feature some player in an article on the teams website, then they get cut soon after

Looking at the current Denver depth chart they don't have a DT listed above 320lbs.  Their starter is right at 305lbs.  Maybe it really isn't a need in this defense to have a wide body there.  I saw a few 2-5-2-2 looks on the field during the game.  We have Burns and YGM who have played with their hand in the dirt before.  You squeeze the big guys (Tuttle/Brown/Williams) in closer on the line and it closes up the middle allowing Frankie and Shaq a little space to move around.  You still have Burns to rush, YGM/DJJ to hold an edge and Chinn as the 5th LB.  It actually operates more like a 4-3 than the traditional 3-4.

Maybe I'm wrong.... just thinking out loud here.
