I am expecting a playoff push for this team myself but I'm not anticipating anything clicking until at LEAST a month into the season. This is a new staff, a new offense, and a completely new set of skill players ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE BOARD. New top 3 WRs, new RB, new TE, new QB, who is also a rookie no matter how smart he is. I would not be surprised if we are the Jags of last year where we start off like 3-6 then things start to click halfway through the year and we threaten the playoffs.

Oh look, another temper tantrum rambling that could have been put into one of the 8 other threads.

The only new concern I have from these first 2 preseason games is Ekwonu and needing Corbett a little more than we thought.

Did all these reactionaries expect all-pro play from third string guards? Did they expect Chuba Hubbard to all of a sudden be somebody he’s never been? Did they expect the defense to have no growing pains switching to 3-4 and to dominate without Brian Burns and Derrick Brown? I’m genuinely confused at anything beyond just the o-line hasn’t been good yet. Bryce Young looks like he belongs. That’s pretty good for his first couple drives in the NFL.

I’ve noticed many of these chicken littles are the same ones who hated the draft, especially Bryce Young and DJ Johnson. Funny how they don’t recognize at all any of the positives we have seen from those 2 picks. It’s almost like they only care about finding things to complain about.

Also, it’s preseason, and for at least one game (Jets) it was very clear the teams had extremely different goals for that game. They literally game planned for us with the stunts on defense. The good news is we likely got a lot more learning points from that game than they did.

Hey @GOAT, I actually enjoyed that rant and love the passion/emotion. I, personally, live in the “it’s only practice” camp. But, after what we all have sat through the last several years, I do agree not seeing any signs of competency in either of these two games is frustrating. I agree with several posters that it will probably be midseason before we start clicking, but if they do look like this week one it’s definitely not gonna feel good or be fun. But again, even though I don't agree I have no problem with it. 

However, I did see your comment about our members being a bunch of drunks. If you're gonna get worked up about people addressing your comments about drinking, then maybe stereotyping a group of 6000+ people probably isn't the right play….

FWIW….I LOVE drinking beers during the day on game days and being in bed with a pizza at 6p.

Get a hobby that makes you happy and doesn't cause stress. Much more important things in life to worry about.

These motherfuggers eat, sleep, and breathe this game, they practice all year, their whole lives, and they just still cannot get it right.

We as fans wait months to see the team we root for take the field and show some heart, make plays, win games.

We as fans work all day, some of us in grueling jobs, long hours, travel, etc - and we sit down to watch some football to relax and enjoy downtime.

We as fans buy merch, buy tickets, show up to events, encourage these guys.

and this is what we get? Every single fugging year? No matter the coach? No matter the GM? No matter the players? Just complete dogshit every single season? Year after fugging year?

This is equivalent to being a diehard fan of a band, buying their merch, buying their concert tickets, etc and then having them drop an album that sounds like someone jack hammering a cat. Or going to their concert only to watch them trying to play their instruments with a fugging dildo. 

It is absolute insanity. It is an absolute joke bro. Like what in gods green earth are you guys doing at practice? What are you doing in meetings? What tape are you watching?

How do we string together a group of the worst coaches and worst players, year after year? How does that even happen with out trying?

Why is our social media team posting a picture of the definition of preseason after a game? Do you know how embarrassing that is? Do you know how cringe and stupid all of their content is? Get off the fugging phones and stop trying to be hip. Stop trying to save face because you have a shitty ass product and you think being funny or "cool" on social media will mask that.

All this rah rah crap, all these interviews, skits, "this or that", stupid ass social media trends, cut that shid out and start fugging focusing on not being complete horseshit on the field.

Players laughing and shid on the sidelines, "oh har har har I still get my game check and then get to go home and play as myself in madden then wake up and dick around at practice tomorrow har har har". Motherfuggers never worked a god damn day in their lives, they don't know shid about adversity, they don't know shid about hard work, discipline, effort, heart. These motherfuggers just out here running around playing a game half ass and collecting money. These coaches are all just failed players that can't give up the glory of being on the field and are out there trying to act like they fugging know anything.
