Not gonna lie, I'm concerned about Ekwonu. Guys are just blowing right by him untouched.

I like Icky, his potential, and his damn nasty streak, but I have often wondered why we didn't draft a player like Cross who was already proficient in pass pro. Not a knock on Icky at all, just makes you wonder about the logic that goes into multi year team building.

Finally a reporter at nfl dot com that knows online and talk about the actual play!?

Of course not, someone looked at the stats for the defensive line and concluded the o-line sucks.

Have some faith, the coaches need to see what individual player can, and especially cannot, do before they make a plan.

If it’s truly an issue we have a major problem that could set us back years. We’ve invested big money in the RT and center. Drafted the LT 6th overall and have a pretty decent contract to the RG (albeit injured currently). We’ve invested a lot in this line and if it’s still broken then that’s a major waste of investment at the expense of our weapons and linebackers, not to mention the contracts we are aboht to give burns and brown

I was onboard with Icky because I thought he was the safest OL in the draft. Worst case scenario I thought he'd be a road grading OG of he didn't work out at LT but yeah, that's not exactly what you're looking for with a top 10 pick. I hope this team and staff are just not taking preseason seriously at all my I don't know why they would be but if they are and this is what we have to work with then oh wee mayne.

So while it’s definitely concerning what the line has shown thus far, have we done 1 single shift, or protection change, or audible yet? I have watched all of BYs reps and it’s just line up and snap the ball. Isn’t one of his strengths supposed to be getting the O in the right position to succeed pre-snap? I have seen literally not one play of that.

To be fair, the O-line looked like it has been in the right position. Ickey has had a couple of brain farts. Moton looks rusty, and the interior is a work in progress. Plus, Bryce is still a rookie, and he hasn't been let off his chain yet.

I wouldn't play Bryce at all on Friday. I know he's going to, but I don't trust the line enough and Week 1 is more important than meaningless D-Line-dodging reps.

This is concerning the Oline looks bad.

We were praising the Oline all offseason. They look bad. Even Icky looks like he forgot how to block.

I suppose I should prepare for the worst but I just can't imagine this will be a long term issue.

I'm assuming this is heavy sarcasm. The OL is the position group that's been holding this team back for years. I'd love to see a total 180 and the oline become a strength for us for years to come. But it's been more of the same thus far. Best thing to do is prepare for some level of disappointment there.

The O-line had some notable performances last season, and our personnel has possibly improved. I don't think all fans are simply freaking out, especially during the preseason. If it looks terrible in October and especially November, then the disappointment will be justified.

No, did you miss last season when the line was overhauled and played rather well?

Man you know I am no Sam Darnold or Baker Mayfield fan but the run game helped out the oline a great deal last season and when that wasn't there those guys took some big hits.

Better than the year before no doubt. But that was a very low bar let's be honest. And folks here were borderline hyping up our OL as a fringe top 10 unit in the offseason. I knew better than to join that. I hope to be pleasantly surprised as the season progresses. But I'll be prepared for inconsistency I'm a Panthers fan.
