Sound familiar?

All starts with the O-line. If they have problems this week, then I might be worried. Mind you, that if it's only one person fuging up, that perhaps can be fixed, but if the entire line is inconsistent, then we may have a problem.

I really hope that this team stops sucking soon so that this cringy fanbase-wide inferiority complex that's festered over the past 5 years fugs off. I get that we wasted a lot of talent and it's been a brutal ride but at any given moment we have like 2-3 dedicated threads shitting on players/coaches that barely even know we exist. In this case he literally didn't even say anything offensive, he said that he felt the second practice is often unproductive because the team that felt beaten would usually play worse as a reaction to the day previously thanks to negative emotions. Which could apply to both teams, but of course our fans took it like it was a personal attack against us lol. Can't wait for the random Rodgers hate thread as well that i'm sure will come week 1 of the season because some journalist spun his words for outrage clicks. Y'all would absolutely hate Cam if he hadn't been a Panther.

Here we go:

“God, I love kicking people’s a-----,” Saleh says at one point

Preseason??? Kicking ass not the goal.  He wanted to sound like a bass ass on Hard Knocks. Guess he got a little butt hurt by Sean Payton's comments.

A little early to get cocky.

Talking about the Jets line, not ours...

It's just coachspeak. Lots of coaches say similar behind closed doors that is kept private as to not give opponents bulletin board material and also not to just appear flat out classless (like a certain Sean Payton). I've not watched hard knocks but isn't a part of the point of it to be entertaining? I doubt that lone quote is the only thing that's played up for the cameras; but even then stuff like that gets said frequently without any cameras. To give a couple of examples I can recall off the top of my head,

https://www.sbnation.com/2017/1/16/14283680/antonio-brown-facebook-live-video-mike-tomlin-assholes-patriots-vs-steelers
https://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/packers-coach-defends-kick-chicagos-ass-comment/amp/

There are probably tons more out there but there's a reason this stuff usually stays withheld from the public, and this comment probably would be no exception if the Jets weren't on hard knocks. I just don't see the point in taking issue with a comment that didn't even name us specifically (I think he personally meant the kicking ass quote as a general statement, not as some diss on Carolina specifically) when you can be sure stuff like this gets said on both sides in any game every week of the season lol.

You can’t call it coach speak and say they keep it behind doors so it’s doesn’t come off classless.

coachspeak is synonymous with politicing… it’s saying things that can’t be interpreted one way over another…

saying you love kicking someone ass after you kicked someone’s ass is not coach speak by any definition.

I don’t know what you are attempting to defend but calling that coach speak can’t be any closer to incorrect.

Coachspeak was the wrong phrase but you get my overarching point. A part of being an NFL head coach is rallying a 53 man roster behind you. Do you really think that Foxxy or Ron never said anything like this about a team we were playing on Sunday in their tenures? What I'm "trying to defend" is that being outraged over something that you can be sure every single NFL coaching staff says to their team behind closed doors is silly and I feel like a lot of people around here lately are just angry to be angry.

He said that he loved kicking ass. He didn't specify anyone. Sure he said it after they beat us, but it wasn't some personal attack on our team in particular. He was using it in an all-encompassing manner.  He didn't go onto national TV and say "the Carolina Panthers SUCK!!!!". It's not like Payton singling out the Jets in particular earlier in the off-season. You really think every other NFL head coach wouldn't feel the same, regardless of if it's "pre-season" or not?

Alll coaches say that poo. You’d be naive to think that they didn’t. I am just correcting your statement on it being coachspeak.

I don’t give a poo what saleh says… the only thing I have to say is that you can’t win the Super Bowl in august, and thanks to hard knocks you’d think he doesn’t realize that with some of his statements.
