Who Fault Was The Penalties On, Moore Or Moose

I don't blame Moose or Jarrett. Moore should be aware that there is a problem; the snapping of the ball is what directly caused the penalty.

However, some of that may not be his fault as well; I don't remember the play clock, etc.

^^ This. The QB has to make sure everyone is lined up correctly. If not, pull back and not snap the ball until everyone is ready. If the play clock was near zero, Moore should've called time out.

But then maybe Moore didn't even realize anyone was lined up wrong. God, that's scary. That would mean he really doesn't know the playbook well. :(

Either way, it's the QB's job to be sure the offense is right before snapping the ball. Maybe that's why Jake calls time out at the line more than we would like. :coolgleamA:

That really killed us more than anything. Take those illegal shifts and being lined up incorrectly, who knows what would have happened. I think we woulda scored on that 3rd quarter drive though

So who fault does that go on. I haven't read anything talking about it

I say refs :)

Honestly though, its the fault of having a new QB in there with a group of guys that he is not use to be playing with.

But Moore is IN CHARGE of the offense, so it falls on him.....

rookie/green mistake. hopefully it won't happen again. it shouldn't. a lot of it may have come from playing an away game.

having vets on the team helps a rookie QB overcome things like that. having inexperienced WRs trying to figure things out while the rookie QB is figuring them out as well makes things complicated. i think jarrett was only there for one of them, though. mostly it falls on moore. i think he already accepted the blame for it, though. it's not like he's jemarcus russell and going to blame all the mistakes on the rest of the team.

watching the game tape it's going to be obvious where the problem lies. i have no doubt that they are going to be working on that in a big way this week. there will be problems but i don't expect this to be one much anymore, if at all.
