#89 for mvp!!!

Not hijacking the thread but have to ask the question, "What is our record this year without 89"? I would hate to imagine that senario. I know we won the 1st 2 w/o him, but when it gets in the crapper, he's the one that gets the ball. How does he make those damn catches?

Does it occur to some of you that maybe these things are plays Jake and Smith work on together? If Jake thought that play was risky, do you think he'd make that throw giving the brevity of the situation? yeah Killerkat, you make quite the convincing argument.... f**kin idiot

Smitty has bailed out Jake with his throws his whole career. Today was a prime example. He has all day to throw yet throws ducks to Smith twice while Smith makes the spectacular circus catch. Smith has'nt been the only one. Moose was the one doing it in 2004. Whats lame is the nut huggers coming up with statements out their ass like "what other QB would have the guts to trow into double coverage" or "cause you're a much better QB" other asinine bullshit 'cause they can't stand even the slightest bit of criticism of Jake when its the truth....fuging idiot.

This guy is smart.

At least he thinks so. Really he is a douche who states his opinions as facts.

Okay, how in the world did this turn from a Congratulations to 89 thread to yet another Jake-Bashing thread?

You're right. Smitty is the man. Jake is the best option we have and gives us a better chance of winning even though he does stupid things. I probably took it a little too far. I just hate the lame statements like "you're a much better QB huh?". So we can't say anything about our players 'cause we aren't one ourselves?

Maybe he trusts his receiver to make the catch? When your receiver is SS, it's not out of the question.

If Smith doesn't make the catch, you do you blame? This board would be littered with "what the hell kind of throw was that" posts. Smith bailed him out plain and simple.

Does it occur to some of you that maybe these things are plays Jake and Smith work on together? If Jake thought that play was risky, do you think he'd make that throw giving the brevity of the situation?

are you joking? JD clearly threw it up for grabs as he was about to be nailed.

I can hear Foxy on the sidelines..."ok guys, here's what we're gonna do. Smitty you run deep and hopefully you draw double coverage. Jake, wait until Smitty is covered by two guys and then, just before you get hammered, throw a rainbow. I'm tellin' ya, this play is GOLD!"

Some of you guys really need to wake up and see things how they are. Jake is our best option, no question about it at all but that doesn't mean I'm gonna be blind to the weak spots in his game. AND by the same token, I'm not gonna fail to recognize when Smitty or Moose (or anyone else) bails him out.
