Source:GM Hurney and coach Fox are likely to keep their jobs in 2010.

History tells us Fox will have a great year in 2010 then a bad year in 2011:frown2:

Only if the Passing game and Dline improve. That would mean paying out some big money for a free agent QB since its unlikely that a rookie QB is going to be a significant improvment.

Not that I have given up on Moore, but even if he is the QB of the future, its going to be a year or two before we see it.

But, that will only impact 2 games. We will have the 3rd place team in the NFC North and the NFC East. This will be Chicago and either Philluy/Giants/Dallas (depending onhow that sorts itself out over the next 3 weeks).

We also have the AFC North and the NFC West.

I think next year will be a tough schedule...Pitts, Baltimore, Cinn, Arizona, SF, etc...

Agreed. I don't see how next year would equate to an easy schedule.

SF is only improving and has a good defense, the Bengals are good with a healthy Palmer and resurgeant Benson.

IMO this was Fox's year to prove he can win consistently, but he's proven otherwise. Injuries are at this point no excuse.

Rayzor is correct, and our FO has been in "win now" mode for a couple of seasons and we only have a huge playoff embarssment to show for it.

Don't know if the schedule will be easy, but I do believe it will be easier than this year. The AFC opponents will be about the same or maybe slightly better, but playing the NFC West is generally much easier than playing the East.

We got swept by the AFC this year. :(

I doubt we will next year but we are 5-8 and it seriously looks like 6-10.

Even a couple more wins next year and we are average at best, most people don't want that.

We really need to improve and I am not sure we can do that with our current HC.

Home: Atlanta, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Arizona, San Francisco, Baltimore, Cincinnati, NFC North 3rd place

Away: Atlanta, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Seattle, St. Louis, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, NFC East 3rd place

Well it certainly helps that we get the two best NFC West teams at home. And the two best AFC North teams at home.

Away at Cleveland better be a win.

Get a non lemon QB and that could easily be 11-5

Man, you guys are crazy.

People aren't going to quit on the Panthers just because Fox stays because most likely we'll have a winning season next year.

The fanbase is down this year because we're having a losing season, that happens with every team.

People will continue to go to games and buy beer and food at the stadium regardless of how the team is doing.

Sometimes, you guys just say the dumbest poo.

You are completely right.

I think 10 players to IR could save Foxy and Hurney.

But the season has been a disgrace since the first game - have there been 10 players on IR from then?

How sad this has become that some are talking the Panthers will be ok next season if Fox is back because they have an "easy" schedule

This franchise needs to move on, the Fox era is over. 1 winning season in the past 4; 3 winning seasons in the past 7 is not acceptable (I am counting this season). I dont want to hope for an easy schedule to make me feel better about keeping Fox.

JR has to realise that an easy schedule may get you a nice regular season record, but you'll get your ass kicked in the playoffs.

JR also has to realize with an easy schedule you are still not guaranteed enough breaks will fall your way, the defense will get turnovers in enough 4th qtrs to secure wins, playing bend dont break, hang on, and keep in close strategy will result in a nice regular season reconrd. John Fox's style can easily result in another crappy season, instead of the 12-4 one it resulted in last year with an "easy" schedule.

wouldn't it be nice to feel confident about next years potential record not because the schedule is easy but because you have a team that you feel good about gaing against anyone?

if you have to wait for the right circumstances and all the pieces fall just right in order to have a winning season, something is wrong.

Exactly and I feel like that has become acceptable among many fans.

But yes it is terribly wrong.
