Ok...you have an investment worth ONE BILLLION DOLLARS and you are worried about paying 6 million bucks? Give me a freakin break that is the weakest bullsh*t I have ever heard.

The so-called "sources" need to learn a little math and see that 6 million bucks is a drop in the bucket for this organization.

Whether he pays the additional $6 million or not, it would not have a direct impact on the worth of his investment.

Man, you guys are crazy.

People aren't going to quit on the Panthers just because Fox stays because most likely we'll have a winning season next year.

The fanbase is down this year because we're having a losing season, that happens with every team.

People will continue to go to games and buy beer and food at the stadium regardless of how the team is doing.

Sometimes, you guys just say the dumbest poo.

I could honestly see it going either way at this point. The Big Cat values winning but he also values continuity and in his mind the poor QB play and injuries may be the sole reason for not making the playoffs this year. With decent QB play and fewer injuries, this same team made the playoffs under Fox last year.

Read my avatar message, I'm not defending Fox, just looking at it from another perspective.

wonder if revenues are down this year with economy? If next yr is bad, and like other small market teams, they could be looking at saving money and not blowing money.

It would cost $6 Mill PLUS the cost of the new coach, and Cowher would be expensive.

Wonder if he would consider bringing in Weis as OC?

This is only way Jake remains a Panther IMO

One would hope.

This is the double edge of the PSL.

Stadium sells out reguardless. Thats upwards of 300-400 million right thar.

and how many fans have the football sense and desire to NOT buy beers and food in the stadium in an act of defiance.

With the way the team plays sometimes, you gotta drink to get through it! lol

I think the chances of them being back next year is around 85%. With the prospect of an uncapped year who wants to pay big money for two head coaches?

Fox is one year removed from 12-4, still has a very solid D and one of the best running games in the league.

I imagine Fox will be here next season and possibly beyond.
