Fox/Hurney should've never spent 2 First Round picks on RB's given how many good ones are out there. If we could get a top 15 first back for Stew somehow it would be an out and let us draft another need and place Sutton/Goodson as #2.

We need a DT, DE?, QB, WR(2nd rounder)...

I could see San Diego offering their 1st for Steve Smith and he wanting to go back to SoCal to end his career and win a superbowl with a great QB which he doesn't have here. Trading Steve Smith means we are completely rebuilding obviously.

Stewart is a proven back, he is known well in the NFL. seattle would jump all over it i bet.

probably alot of Pac-10/Oregon Duck fans who follow the Seahawks too and know Stewart and would love to have him.

If they need a back AND have 2 first they can afford this luxury over drafting an unproven RB

No way we would get a first for Stew... especially not a first and Forsett. The rest of the league looks the same way at Stewart as we look at Forsett; a solid #2 who has shown signs of being very capable when given the full load. So why, when Stewart's been on the injury report every week for two seasons now, would Seattle trade a first for something they've already got? And then some of y'all think we'd get Forsett on top of it? That sounds like a trade only New England and Oakland could get done with each other.

You cant unconvince dudes on this board that DeAngelo Williams is not superman. They swear he can carry the ball 30-40 times a game all season long with no problem. The worst mistake we've made the past 2 years is thinking putting our entire offense thru him would make us a better team, it hasnt. We need both of our RBs, we need a QB we expect to make plays, and we need to open up our offense. DeAngelo Williams alone isnt good enough to carry this team to where it needs to go.

Most people in who entertain the idea of trading Stewart away do so not because we want to see Williams as our sole back, but because we realize we've got some guys on the roster who will more than likely be adequate second backs. They won't be nearly as good as Stewart, who would be a starter on most teams, but we really don't need them to.

We've been spoiled with two great running backs, and yet even with two great backs, this season is proof positive that you cannot win without decent quarterback play.
