If Delhomme Starts Sunday....

How many passing TD's does Delhomme have this season?

8. How many does have Moore have? That would be 1. So if Moore is better than Jake and has a better arm, then air and out and throw it deep. For better or worse jake would usually air it out deep 3 or 4 times a game. If Moore has the same gameplan and design then why isn't he doing it too?

So Delhomme has 8 TD"s in 11 games after starting with the team for 6 years.

Man, he is a scoring machine! Of course we should start him!

Some of you guys really want to ruin Delhomme's legacy and career even more!? Delhomme is not going to play great against the Vikings...that game has the making of 3 picks at least. Vikings has the offense to put up points fast and the D-line to pressure Delhomme all day. Delhomme hasn't played good against the Vikings in a long time. Now, he's even WORSE than before. Delhomme falling flat on his face during national television will definitely put him near David Carr status. Let the man bow out with what little dignity he has...

I agree with panthers55 assessment that Matt Moore plays "conservative". I think the major problem is that he is just too scared to make a mistake. This kid is finally getting his chance and he has a coach that has little to no confidence in him and is in love with a QB that is turnover prone. I think he feels like if he makes few mistakes...he's won half the battle. Fox needs to get off Delhomme's jock and at least support the kid. He needs a confidence boost.

Actually Jake was okay the last 2 times he faced Minnesota. His rating last year was 78 and before that in 2005 it was over 100.

Agree with what you said about Moore. I say turn him loose and see what he has.

what Jake did in prior seasons is irrelevant...b/c even last year he was much better than the 2009 version. At this stage in his career - 2003-2008 mean nothing b/c he is that bad now.

However, just to clarify your inaccurate pro Jake information you sling. Jake was in fact horrible in the last Vikings game.

He had 2 fumbles lost, 0 TDs, and completed 58% of his passes for less than 200 yards and the team put up 10 total points....that isn't okay.

At the rate Moore is going he will have 2 maybe 3 in 5 games. I would give Moore this week, if he doesn't score points, then yeah I would start Jake. Even with all the picks, Jake's grasp of the offense is still light years ahead of Moore as a starter.

Upside to starting Jake = nothing

Upside to starting Moore = experience

Hell, I would rather see Cantwell out there than a guy that won't be on any NFL roster next season.

If Moore isn't here next year then who gives a crap about experience for someone on another roster? And when jake is here next here battling as the starter, I will be enjoying all the whining and crying at that point. Right now Jake has a much better chance to be here than Moore does. Either Moore needs to impress or he goes the way of Chris Weinke as well.

Moore will be here in July.

Delhomme will not.

Jake completed 7-14 passes(50%) in AZ game, which was dominated by our Defense and Running Game, Jake just had to not screw up the 14 times he got to pass the ball, many of which were short passes.

Hilarious the Jake Lovers use this game as an example to Start Jake over Moore, then turn around and criticize Moore for completing 50% of his passes against New England in cold, wet and windy conditions.

Funy thing is that 10 total points and completing 50% of his passes is exactly what Moore did against NE. Sure he threw a TD and didn't fumble but he played against a much worse defense and yet by your double standards, Moore played great.

    • How good would the Colts have been if they traded for Bryce.  Richardson is wasting a good line and quality receivers.
    • And this was with Derrick Brown having an all-time great season at DT also. Maybe this scheme was done right in Denver, but it hasn't been done right here at all in 2 years, with or without personnel. I'm willing to cut Canales some slack bc he was right in benching Bryce and has helped him develop into what looks like a guy who can be here long-term, and Dan Morgan has vouched for him too, but it's so hard to think about bringing him back after the all-time disaster this year was. Continuity be damned. Hope they are right though. This could be a playoff team with the 2nd Half of the year offense and an even average defense.
    • Re: Cam As you could probably guess, his personality didn't initially mesh well with the no-nonsense special forces guys, but they respected his performance in the challenges and he's been a good "teammate" to some of the others on the show. FYI: Also appearing this season is Golden Tate, who per his own words seems to be kind of lost in his post football life.
