If Delhomme Starts Sunday....

Well, we disagree then. NE put up 20 with the help of some calls. If Fox ran the ball and didn't kick that retarded fg Carolina could have easily been in a position not to need 20+ to win that game based on how it was playing out.

Running more with DeAngleo would have gotten more offense going.

and again, how does Jake give us a chance.....he can't score (like Moore) but also will turn it over at a much higher rate?

You can't count on the refs helping or hurting you, you need to win the game and 21 points would have done that. And given we missed it, the fg seems dumb but if we made it then everything is fine. After all the NE kicker kicked 2 from outside of 45. Bottom line is Moore was totally ineffective in the second half and running the ball wasn't going to win it either. Belicheck stacked the box and dared Moore to beat them and he couldn't.

Say what you will but watch the game on Sunday. Unless we open it up and Moore throws it around, we will get crunched when the running game is ineffective. You beat minnesota through the air not on the ground.

so an aging QB with terrible precision, a weakening arm, and the mobility of a shopping cart is a better option than a young QB with potential who could use some game experience if he's ever going to mold into a better player, on a team which places 10th in the conference and is out of playoff contention

I dont get the weak arm thing with Jake??????????

3 weeks ago everyone was bitching about him overthrowing WR's on long Bombs...

5 weeks ago it was underthrowing....

Sounds like a sync thing for me.

And considering Jake made both MOOSE AND SMITH league leading WR's, one a TRIPLE CROWN WINNER (1ST SINCE jerry rice) I will continue to think that he has it, he just is in a funk.

the truth...the truth is the only way for us to win is on the shoulders of Williams and the D. That became the truth about week 5. Jake prohibits that from occuring....Moore gives us a slight chance. Regardless, Fox and Davidson need to play that way (which they don't)

You say Jake gives us the best chance....b/c Fox says it...therefore you claim it is the truth. The "good Jake"/'bad" Jake coin flip isnt' a realistic outlook at games anymore. Jake has not been "good Jake" once in his 11 starts. He has however been much worse than his typical "bad Jake" persona we grew to know so well over the years.

I will give you that, but what do you do about a coach who only gives Williams 13 carries in a 7 point game?

the writing is on the wall with that one...

I'm not talking about distance I'm talking about velocity

too many of his passes sail because he can't put zip on the ball

Yes and those are some great 4-5 year old stats that logic has never burned the panthers before when evaluating aging players

You keep talking about finding the quarterback of the future. Are we talking about playing him to see what he can do or play the guy who gives us the best chance to win against Minnesota. They might not be the same as long as Moore won't air it out and throw the ball.

No one is saying that Jake has played well although I don't see him nearly as negatively as you do. For what it worth Moore isn't that mobile. he is getting sacked once every 15 attempts and has 2 rushes for minus 2 yards. Jake is getting sacked once every 14 passing attempts and has rushed 17 times for 60 yards or 3.5 yards per rush.

I am a panthers fan who wants to win the last 2 home games since I go and pay a lot of money to be there. You can be happy wanting Moore and waiting for next year. We have 3 games left and I want to win them. I could care less who starts at quarterback if we win them. Frankly I will worry about next year , next year. I don't know if Moore can play well enough to win any of them. Based on the past 2 games I would think he can't. So for me he isn't the automatic choice.

What do you mean by "best chance to win"? Are you basing that on regular season records? Performance against a common opponent? What? Because all I've heard in this thread is people regurgitating this throw in comment without explanation.

Dude- it doesnt matter, Fox wont be here next season, and Moore will NOT BE the QB...

Either Jake will be, or it will be our 1st round draft pick (but i doubt they throw him into the fire)

truth hurts......

You have no idea if Moore wont be the QB next season. He has only started 2 games this season. Anyway who cares about winning the rest of the season (except beating the Saint). We need to evaluate the talent on the team and see who needs to stay and who needs to go.

There you go again with the misinformation and incorrect analysis. Jake has had 5 games where he has completed over 60% of his passes and 2 games with a passer rating over 90. Quick tell me who has had the top 3 passer rating performances this year by a Panther quarterback? Yeah Jake. I guess you don't think that jake was good in his 115 passer rating against Antlanta at home or at Arizona on the road (94.3).

AK you seem to languish in redundancy, every thread you seem to make follows the same pattern

1. I'm going to make a declaration based on inaccurate research and my own faulty intuitions (or lack thereof) and base my opinion off of it.

2. Oh poo someone brought up a good point, i need to back track and reiterate my OP.

3. Ok let me tell them it doesn't matter and try to end discussion.
