If Delhomme Starts Sunday....

I don't think anyone thinks Moore will score 24. To suggest Jake will is absurd.

if you want to cherry pick a small number of games. In the last 4 games....a Moore led team has averaged 13 pts.....and Jake 11.5 in his last 2. Jake 1 TD and 5 turnovers. Matt 1 TD and 2 turnovers.

No one is cherry picking, go ahead and count all his games and all of jakes this year or any year. Right now Moore is doing what all of you say you hate about Fox which is playing not to lose. If Moore can't score 24 then he doesn't give us a chance to win because that is how much we will need to win. I can totally see Fox telling Moore either to air it out and score points or go back to the pines. I figure he will get this Sunday and either he will finally play well and help us win or jake will be back in for the Giants and New Orleans. Jake's last 2 games are why Moore got a chance to play. Matt's inability to score points and give us a chance to win is why Moore will lose the starting job. No quarterback and offense can possibly be effective scoring 13 points a game.

Moore is 3-2. He simply is going to let the team around him win and he will try to not be a liability. Fox is what he is......and is going to coach to not lose. So why wouldn't you want the one QB who fits that? We didn't need 24 to beat NE.....there were over 20 needed based on the final score but that wasn't required actually in that game. Fox could have punted at the end of the 1st half and ran more.....we could have scored less than 24 and won that game based on how the game was going. Fox should have gone to Williams more.....Fox can't coach. I don't care how bad the NE secondary is...you always play to your strength....not play your weakness against a teams weakness.

Moore gives us a chance to win not by scoring but by not being the liability Jake is.

Jake had 8 TDs in 11 games.....not sure what makes you think Jake has shown he can put up more points than Moore.....we know he can turn it over more.

this was all jake's work

given that every time the panthers' running game was shut down Jake looked even worse who thinks Jake can beat Minnesota's secondary for 3 scores?

who has had multiple passing touchdowns in any game this year? Yeah that wouldn't be Moore. And other times he has thrown it down in the redzone where we ran it in. How mant times has Moore been in the redzone? 3 times What did we get? any TDS? No! A couple of field goals? 1

Yeah he is a juggernaut.

Amen, there is little room for truth...as some still want to argue Jake gives us the best chance to win.

The 2-1 is ancient history. right now he is 1-1 which is the benefit of a terrible Tampa team who gift wrapped the win with five turnovers and a fumble and the game was still in doubt all day. And yeah we needed 21 points to be beat NE and Moore wasn't close to getting that done.

And those of you who think we should have run more must not be watching the game. They were 3 for 13 on third down. We didn't convert on third down by run or pass. Running more wasn't going to get it done. Moore needed to be able to extend drives with better passing on third down and he didn't get it done.

Moore doesn't give us a chance if we can't score points. Just like with David Carr if you can't score you can't win no matter how good the defense plays.

Here is the truth. Jake gives us the best chance to win and best chance to lose depending of which Jake shows up. Moore gives us a chance to win against teams who suck and have no offense. Unfortunately we have none of those teams left on the schedule. Any think Moore can help us score enough to beat Minny, the Giants, or the Saints. If not then you have no choice but to play Jake as sad as that is.

Honestly I would be happy to see Moore play if he will turn it loose. I want to see what he can do when the game is on the line. I would rather see him sling it and throw a pick versus always go safe and short and not score any points. I say let Moore play and try to match up with Minnesota and let the chips fall where they may.

Well, we disagree then. NE put up 20 with the help of some calls. If Fox ran the ball and didn't kick that retarded fg Carolina could have easily been in a position not to need 20+ to win that game based on how it was playing out.

Running more with DeAngleo would have gotten more offense going.

and again, how does Jake give us a chance.....he can't score (like Moore) but also will turn it over at a much higher rate?

AK I used to like most of your posts.

But this season you have been spewing garbage. What the f**k is wrong with you dude?

You seriously need to start thinking.

Your D-will and Delhomme obsession is getting old.

If you think Delhomme is a better option you must be drinking from the same water hole as Sarah Palin.

yes...except the Palin part !!!

:nono:

so an aging QB with terrible precision, a weakening arm, and the mobility of a shopping cart is a better option than a young QB with potential who could use some game experience if he's ever going to mold into a better player, on a team which places 10th in the conference and is out of playoff contention

i am a panthers fan

i need closure with jake

the truth...the truth is the only way for us to win is on the shoulders of Williams and the D. That became the truth about week 5. Jake prohibits that from occuring....Moore gives us a slight chance. Regardless, Fox and Davidson need to play that way (which they don't)

You say Jake gives us the best chance....b/c Fox says it...therefore you claim it is the truth. The "good Jake"/'bad" Jake coin flip isnt' a realistic outlook at games anymore. Jake has not been "good Jake" once in his 11 starts. He has however been much worse than his typical "bad Jake" persona we grew to know so well over the years.
