this isn't the movies where the older athlete starts getting beat and can't overcome the odds, until his wife or best friend starts in with the cheesy inspirational speech and he starts coming back and proving everybody wrong, and everybody in the movie theater is happy because the protagonist won in the end. this is the NFL and people get old and regress.

the panthers are eliminated from the playoffs

the only thing they need to concern themselves with now is seeing whether Matt Moore is good enough to compete for a starting job next year with the best talent at QB we can possibly find with the resources we have.

Well, answer me this....in what game did Jake hit the deep pass to Smith? What happens when Smith gets open on the deep ball and Jake throws it? Plus, Jake has is just painful to watch in the pocket now.....you want Jake behind center with the Viking DL??? That is a guarantee fumble at least once.

We need 3rd down conversions, something Moore has a problem with.

You take away Moores 1 long bomb to Smith and we would have not even been close to beating a very bad patriots team.

He doesn't act the same.....he really doesn't bring that positive emotion and heart each week anymore and display it like he use to. Jake had a great career and was a great story...there comes a time bringing up his past success means nothing...and now is that time.

I agree the past is the past but i dont know-- last 2 games- 7.2 ypp, 420 yards, 2INTs with 1 TD and against a TERRIBLE Pats he could only complete 50% of his passes.

Thats a lot of football left out on the field.

More has accounted for 7 points in 2 games.

Honestly, Delhomme HAS SUCKED big time this season, but he is not a bad QB. He is just in a bad funk this season.

Kurt Warner was in the same funk with the Giants and look at him now.

Delhomme gives us our BEST chance to beat a team like the Vikes, I know you guys hate to hear that, but its the truth.

You dont go to a guy with a few starts over someone with YEARS in this offense.

Jakes finger was never broke, his confidence was. Now he has nothing to screw up (season wise), has sat a few games and been able to get his crap together.

If moor couldnt beat a struggling Pats team, then Fox knows his only hope is to go to Jake against the 1 loss Vikings.

No way dude. The vikes are the complete opposite of what jake needs. They are the team that is most capable of stopping our run game. They will stack the box and force Jake to make plays. Something he has not done all year.

I said this before New England and will say it again. To win on Sunday we will need at least 24 points.

Who gives us a better chance to score points, Jake who has had games where he has thrown for 34 and 28 or Moore who couldn't score more than 16 points in a game where they got 6 turnovers.

Sure Jake could suck and we score only 10 points, but for Moore that is just about his average over the last 2 games. Moore doesn't suck but he is too worried about making mistakes to air it out and throw it. Instead he will nickel and dime it resulting in too many three and outs. Even after a big run or pass we end up stalling. Given that Minnesota will shut down our rushing game, who thinks Moore can beat their secondary for 3 scores??

well, the weather was bad and it was his 5th start....what did you expect?

I expect the points to come from the run game. Fox should have put more on Williams. Not now though....although knowing Fox he will probably give Williams 35 carries against the Vikes and get him beat up. Minny is the one team on the schedule I don't think Fox can have a chance just running it....and that will be one of the few he probably attempts it.
