Dan Connor starter/not???

From what i seen in the game yesterday, i believe Dan Connor should be starting over nail diggs or james anderson, he had 8 tackles and a fumble recovery and he played only approx. 25% of the snaps on defense. Nail Diggs has been a dissapointment in my eyes, I mean hell Beason and Davis wouldnt load up with tackles every year if it wasnt for the missed tackles by Diggs. Connor won multiple awards in college and high school and holds records at Penn State, So why has Ron Meeks let his talent go to waste...can anyone explain this to me. O and by the way I am new to this forum stuff this is my first post, hopefully its worth yalls time.:biggrinjester:

Nice! Welcome to the huddle...just be prepared to be criticized by anyone here...happens a lot lol. Dan Connor DID look good out there & since we don't have much of a chance (if at all) of making the playoffs Meeks may take Diggs/Anderson out & put Connor in to get some more experience. Reason why he hasn't started Connor yet is b/c Diggs & Anderson have a lot more experience, even though they're becoming older & weaker each week

its John Fox -- he leaves a lot of talent on the bench

Who is the talent that Fox is leaving on the bench?

Jarrett? Have you seen this guy play? Yeah, he can catch but he gets 0 seperation and he can not make a sharp cut to save his life. The INT that got overturned was completely on Jarrett. He slowed down to cut for 8 yds on a 10 yd route. The not knowing were to line up killed us. He has just enough ability to keep him from getting cut but is not a #2.

Martin? I can see where he has potential. The concusion really set him back and ever since Godfrey has been back in the starting line-up he has played very well. Easily as good as Martin has played. The hit on Welker was one of the best hits I've seen all year. To me this is a toss up. Martin had two plays that were memorable. The INT in his first game were he came across the field was a nice play. When he upended Snelling an the GL, but he pretty much just stuck his head in the dirt.

Goodson? Well there is this guy named Sutton who surpassed him. Its not really logical to carry 4 RB's. I know some on here want him to be the slot WR. That may come in time but I don't know if he is ready.

Connor? Talented guy that will probably be good for us in time. We are stacked at LB. He looked good on Sunday, hope to see him out there again next week.

The rest of the "talented" players everyone is always crying to see are not that impressive outside of being good backups.

welcome....i ve been wondering this for a while as well. coming out of the draft connors was rated first round talent at somepoint. i think hes more impressive than diggs anderson at this point in their careers. the issue with connors on the outside is speed not sure he can cover to the hash marks as seen when he got burned on that interfernce call.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but isn't the 4-3 Sam supposed to be the bigger LB? Connor may not be the fastest player but neither is Diggs, and from watching him play against the Pats, he seems like he has some good instincts. In my opinion this is just another situation where Fox has been over-loyal. Ten bucks says Connor takes Diggs' spot next year if Fox is gone.
