Given the NYJ game, just how bad would Jake have likely done yesterday in cold, wet and windy New England?

Moore is greater than Jake for 3 reasons so far:

1) not literally giving games away via INT's so far

2) Can actually throw a deep ball which spreads field some, 2 straight games with long completitions to Smith. Jake can't do this

3) more mobile in pocket, improvement over Jake.

Season is over, give the kid a chance against great competition down the road. Though his teammates make pack it in early and leave him out to hang. So if that is going to happen start Jake rest of way to make sure we end his career as starting QB

I 100% agree that the season is over. Therefore, there is nothing to gain by starting Jake. Starting Moore and giving him a chance help us to at least know whether we have something worth continuing to develop.

Delhommes last 2 games:

Dolphins: 45.2 comp. % , 60.3 QB rat.

Jets: 41.2 comp. % , 12.7 QB rat.

1TD - 5INT

Moore's last 2 games:

Bucs: 70 comp % , 73.1 QB rat.

Pats: 50 comp % , 82.2 QB rat.

1TD - 1INT

How is Moore no better than Delhomme? The season is over. Fox deserves to give Moore the rest of the starts considering how long he's stuck with Delhomme.

IDK...Moore, I thought played fine yesterday. He started off a little slow, but since he is still basically a rookie. Once he calmed down he looked better. Not everybody can be Brady....

I am surprised that people really expected Moore to remain the started unless he came out and played well. Truth is completions and passes need to be evaluated not by themselves but in the context of did the quarterback drive the team down the field. There have been times for example when Jake has not played well for half the game and then mounts a drive in the fourth quarter to lead the team and win the game.

Show me where Moore played well in the second half and went down and scored points. How many times were we even in the red zone? How many drives went for plus 40 yards that weren't just one big play but a continuous drive? Any one can look at completions and make judgments but in the end you get paid for wins or losses. In the last 2 games we have generated 8 turnovers and how many points have we gotten? Very few. Moore is getting his chance to be the one and he isn't up to the job right now. I suspect he might get Sunday night as well. But if he doesn't shine, I would expect Jake in there. At least he can rally the team and drive them with the no huddle if he needs to. Moore hasn't shown he can and has largely been disappointing.

lol i'm pretty sure all quarterbacks practice each week, regardless of whether or not they're gonna start.

If Delhomme Pratices he will start. Just like Godfrey did when Martin was playing lights out.

The fact is Moore gives us a better chance to win and that why people are pissed. Besides why not let him have a shot he has earned it and Delhomme is not gonna get any better.

Better shot at what? We had no shot to win yesterday even with several turnovers. And against Tampa we lose unless Josh throws us a ton of picks and they miss several field goals. Sure Jake has looked bad but even this year he has looked good. When has Moore has looked good other than 2 passes to Smith?

He came out and played better than Delhomme.

Better?

He would have had 3 picks if they hadn't dropped easy passes. He was off all day and other than the one pass to Smith looked pretty bad. And worse of all he had no presence or sense of directing the offense in a no huddle. Honestly I would be discouraged as a defensive guy if i thought we could win even as well as they played yesterday.

Jake has had more than his fair share of dropped interceptions this year as well.

Jake Delhomme

QB Rating: 59.4

Record: 4-7

Matt Moore

QB Rating: 69.4

Record: 1-1
