matt moore sucks

His ball has been off today...though that pass to Smitty was sweet.

The pass to Smitty was actually thrown late. Smith had nice separation and Moore let it hang up there. The DB almost fully recovered...it took a great catch by Smitty for the TD.

Moore is NOT the answer.

The person that got Moore the Job in the 1st place is the same one the that curses him. Jake Delhomme. Jake came in, in 03 and took off. Moore is coming in like most new QBs to the starting line up. Rusty and unsure. Moore is basically an unproven commodity. There were some areas he did well and others he didn't. He was still 50% and the way I am reading it there were a few drops that could have helped his completion rate.

I believe let him finish out these last 3 games. Bring in another QB to battle next season whether a Rookie or Vet. Let Moore and McCown share the snaps with the #1 unit in OTAs and mini camps. Then let all 4 or 5 QB's battle it out. Believing they are going to let Hunter participate in the battle as well. I would also assume they bring Jake back.

Go Panthers

Most of Moore's passes yesterday were off the mark. He actually looked more crisp versus Tampa. Yes, he did have some dropped, but there were a few where the reciever made great grabs on poor throws. What most of you hate about Jake was exactly what Moore did yesterday...late throws, high throws, throwing balls up for grabs and poor pocket awareness.

I understand people defending Matt because he's our starter now (probably for the rest of the year) but, he's not the answer. We are going to have to find the next QB of the future on another team like how we found Jake in the first place. There are some good QBs sitting behind starters now that can had for decent money or trade. Kolb in Philly comes to mind, off the top of my head.

Jake, Moore and DEFINITELY not some rookie will get us very far next year. I really can't tell if some of you are serious about Moore starting next year or if you folks are just are pledging your support considering he's starting now.

Moore yesterday reminded me of David Carr. He threw the ball up for grabs, panicked with any pressure and threw everything short except the one pass to Smith. Watch what happens to the defense if Moore can't show he is a winner, they will start mailing it in when they realize no matter how well they play, our offense can't score points when we need to. Right now Moore has helped us average 14 1/2 points a game against 2 average to poor defenses. That won't beat any of the teams we have left on the schedule.

Moore needs to play well not just not suck if he wants to be a starter. He hasn't taken the job away from Jake. I could see Fox putting Jake back in the last 2 games if Moore doesn't play better on Sunday.

Why did he run the must creative play of the whole season on the last play of the first half when there was not enough time left to do anything with it. The hook and ladder play from moose to smith was awesome but all it did was pad moore's stats, I hate our play calling and if we were "moore" creative ie. flea flicker, end around, croosing routes, hb screens I think they rarely fake the run with any production. What I am saying is that if I as a panther fan know what is coming on 3rd and 8 or 14 I bet the defense does too, a damn draw play up the middle. We need more deception.

Matt Moore...not horrible.

this whole situation reminds me of Obama winning the nobel peace prize for not being bush. :piggy:

(and then subsequently authorizing a bigger troop surge than his generals asked for... actually the comparison is uncanny)

Yeah, that's the real stinger. For maybe the first time this season, I saw receivers wide open and Moore flat out missed them. I'm also discouraged at all the floaters he threw yesterday. I expect that out of Jake because of his age and Tommy John but not from some young kid whose had three years to get stronger.

In his (and to an extent, Jake's) defense, I still don't like the playcalling, our pass protection has been erractic (worse since losing Gross) and our receivers can't get open, run the right routes, or catch the damn ball. The saving grace is our running game and even that has betrayed our team (by being ineffective or fumbling).

I can certainly see that happening. In Fox's mind, he might think "Yes, he might generate 3 turnovers that aids the opponent in winning but he may also help the team put up more than 20 points a game."

I'm not ready to make a call either way but so far, it's not a rosy picture.

hilarious how someone compared him to carr,....plus usually when a team blitz and your o line doesn't pick up it almost every time results in either a big play, incomplete pass,or turnover.....moore had a little bit of game jitters but after that looked good, plus he's not suppose to carry the team but make plays when called on,ask fox why d will only got 13 carries but moore threw the ball 30 times that's ridiculous
