Brayton says he'd be heartbroken if Panthers don't re-sign him next year

I am talking about being better against the run.Not his love for the game .

Honestly, the last 2 years, yeah. Pep is solid against the run but has a tendency to over run on the edge. His superior athletic ability usually allows him to get back into the play though.

Brayton coming down the line on a run play is textbook. He is very good with keeping contain and not over running on the edge. That doesn't mean he always has the athletic ability to string out a play to the sideline but he rarely leaves a wide cutback by overpursuing. He is solid.

So easy, a Brayton could do it.

In all seriousness, I like Brayton. I wasn't always impressed with him (I think Charles Johnson, if giving a starting role, will really impress some folks) -- but I do think he's good against the run and I like that he can fill in at DT. If Peppers is gone next year -- and I think he is -- it would be wise of us to hold on to him.

No argument here. :cheers2:

He is decent at both DT and DE. No way should we let him go.
agreed....
he's our best DE against the run

we should probably keep him. he doesn't even cost much

...and agreed.

i have been impressed with him on many fronts. he does it all 100% and does a good job with it. he's a leader on the team, imo more than peppers is. he provides the example on the line that peppers should.

that first year at training camp i was very impressed with him. after that practice where smith and lucas got into a fight, i stayed behind to listen to the post practice pow wow they had in the middle of the field. before i was asked to leave i got to hear a lot of what he said which had mainly to do with knowing what it was like to be on a dysfunctional team and how what they did from that moment on as a team, their reaction to it would effect where they went as a team. he was one of just a couple that fox allowed to speak.

anyway, i think he's good for the team on several levels. he needs to stay and i don't think he's going to make himself too expensive. he just wants to play. i think he should and that it should be as a panther.

Players look up to results..who has more than peppers on the Dline?I think Peppers is a leader but just not the type that fans love.Brayton is good but did you see our run D when peppers was out? I say resign Brayton no matter what.

I know everyone is dying to hear gman say something positive so here it is.. Its a no brainer to keep tyler brayton. He is the most under rated player on this team. Gman only wishes every player would play with his intensity. Gman is a huge nutcracker fan and would also be heartbroken if he left

Why does Gman always refer to himself in the third-person? Is Gman a megalomaniac? :P
