Brady Misses second straight day of practice

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is absent from practice again, according to Adam Kilgore, who's on the scene there.

Yesterday's absence seemed to be about family -- with Brady's new child having been born -- but he did appear on the injury report with the finger problem that hampered him in Miami. The quarterback was in the locker room today.

Either that, or Brady will be out with a "finger injury" and some photographer will get a shot of him holding a pen on the sidelines...but then it will turn out to be the guy behind him who was holding the pen.

Actually, running backs rarely need practice other than just staying in shape. It is the one position that isn't really based on timing. Unless he hasn't learned the system yet, practice is not beneficial to JStew. Why do you think LT never played preseason for the Chargers? He didn't need to. No offence to running backs, but it is the easiest position to play. They run the same running plays since high school. The only thing they have to learn in the NFL is pass protection.

There are a lot of backs that miss lots of practice during the season and rarely play during preseason. It has nothing to do with how good you are.
