What are our chances if Williams, Moore start?

Keep in mind that we came out passing in several games this year to set up the run despite Jake's problems. Look at the first drive against Tampa last week. We ran and passed effectively. I expect us to come out throwing on Sunday unless the weather is awful.

well, I will give them credit for one thing. All season long Carolina has looked like the best team in the NFL on the opening drive. That is with Jake or without Jake......not sure what always happens after that. It is like they put all there eggs in one basket and after that drive they got nothing.

Those plays are usually scripted. Seems we do well with those but not so good on the fly or making adjustments.

Welker drives that offense...not Moss imo. The short stuff to Welker is something no team has an answer for really. Captain looks to be the best guy to contain him....but Welker won't be stopped.

The Patriots actually run a very predictable offense.....it is only about if you can stop it. There is a reason some very average teams have beaten them or hung with them this year imo.

Yup, Welker definitely does. He gets them to easy 3rd downs constantly.

I think the only way to win against the Patriots is with suffocating defense. Pressure and sack Brady and do enough on offense, and you'll win. Our front four isn't nearly good enough for this task (not this year at least).

However, I am very excited to see how our secondary works against the Pats pass offense.

I still think this is going to be a rebound game for the Patriots.

In 2003 we went to our first Super Bowl with a back up QB.

And the Rams won the Superbowl with a bag boy. The point is not that crazy poo can happen, I would be extremely happy if Matt Moore beat the Pats Sunday. The point is that it doesn't happen very often and its unrealistic to expect it to happen. Just consider all of the backups who haven't turned out to be great players, there are far more of them than the other way around.

Oakland won last week, the Browns beat the Steelers last night........we can beat a slightly above average Patriot team. The Patriots aren't the old Patriots, they aren't even close to being as good as a team like NE........they are a 7-5 ball club.

What are you guys talking about. I am aware that it is possible to win any game on any given Sunday. However the question was how likely are we to win. The answer to that is we have little chance at all. Their offense and coaching is superior to ours. They have something to play for, while our season is pretty much done. They also have home field advantage, their record in Gillette stadium in December being 14-1.

I'm glad you didn't pursue that job in law enforcement , you know the one where you were responsible for talking people off of ledges and stuff.........just sayin".
