What are our chances if Williams, Moore start?

When did I say we had a better chance with Jake? We wouldn't have a good chance even if we had a good QB. NE hasn't lost a home game all season. Expecting Matt Moore to put up points on them at home when nobody else could is just ridiculous.
They said the same thing when the Cardinals came to town. Nobody gave them a chance in hell. We were undefeated at home. We were on a fuging roll, ready to make a run for the superbowl.

Then, the stars and planets aligned to bring the greatest Panthers season in franchise history crashing down in flames. That's the beautiful thing about this game...

Anything can happen at any given time.

Isn't that why they lace 'em up and play ball on Sundays? The way your talking, they should just not get on the plane to Foxboro and stay the hell at home! Those bastards can be beat, we just gotta stick with the gameplan....

I don't expect Matt Moore to put points up on them. You think the NE defense can stop DeAngelo if he is hot? NE simply ain't that good on defense regardless of where the game is. If Williams and the run game is going....points will get put up for Carolina imo. Enough points to win? Probably not...but there is a chance pending which version of Carolina shows up.

What are you guys talking about. I am aware that it is possible to win any game on any given Sunday. However the question was how likely are we to win. The answer to that is we have little chance at all. Their offense and coaching is superior to ours. They have something to play for, while our season is pretty much done. They also have home field advantage, their record in Gillette stadium in December being 14-1.

You're kidding yourself if you think we have a chance of going into Foxboro with a backup quarterback and beating the Patriots.

It won't be about moore or Williams. If we have to count on Moore having a great day or Wiliams running for 200 yards, we are in for a long day.

It will be about the defenses and adjustments in the second half. Belichick is a master at changing things up at halftime to take away what was working in the first half. We will have to make adjustments (which we aren't good at) in order to do well this week.

Brady's dink and dunk offense often drives us crazy as he gets just enough to move the chains all the way down the field. We need to come up with big stops and pressure Brady when we can. If we can put them in third and long we should be fine. In the end it will take at least 27 points to beat them. We also need good coverage downfield or Moss will blister us. Welker will get his yards but we have to limit yards after the catch. I would feel better if Davis was in there. I don't think any of our other linebackers or safeties can keep up with him.

One good news is that Meeks has played him before and knows what to expect.

If you are really looking for some positive things to consider about the game, the Patriots are in their worst 2 game slump of the season. Also, Randy Moss got sent home earlier by Belichick for not being to a meeting on time. There's also the interview with Tom Brady in which he didn't sound very happy with his team, so there is a possibility they might not all be on the same page. Finally, I dunno if its has to do with living in New England in the cold, but Randy Moss pretty much looks like a hobo at this point in the season.

belichick is for sure a master of making adjustments but i don't think the team he has this year is all that capable of carrying it out. they lack maturity and don't have that winning attitude the pats are known for having. the record, brady's post game comments this past week, the guys being sent home yesterday, the record, comments from adalius thomas when he found out that he had to go home....all of those point to this not being the same team.

also, their habit of going out and picking up talent from teams with poor records in recent years has brought in a sense of apathy. prior to this year they had enough of the old guard to steer the players in the right direction but they just don't have them around anymore.

the best chance that we have of winning this game is the pats beating themselves which at this point is happening. i think the pats are on the verge of a meltdown. in a lot of ways this week will be the watershed moment. the panthers are just bad enough this year that losing to them could be that moment where they turn around or throw their hands up.

hating them as i do, i know what result i want form this game...panthers win and the pats giving up the rest of the season. if the panthers can really be spoilers this year, i want this week to be the beginning of it.

How are we gonna put up 27 points without Williams catching fire?
