the new 360 update to use USB sticks as memory cards has opened up save editing.

i just changed one of my shepard's gender and gave them 999999 of everything.

The title pretty much explains it, but apparently any future DLC (starting with Overlord in June) is supposed to bridge the story between Mass Effect 2 and 3. Sort of like Awakening with Dragon Age, only smaller and hopefully more directly relevant to the next game than Awakening was.

sorry i didn't see this before now.

the last xbox update enabled formatting regular usb sticks to serve as memory cards.

so now you can save your mass effect game on it, transfer it to your computer, edit the save with some software, and transfer it back to the xbox.

you can edit anything from appearance (i stuck some npc hair on my shep) to me1 and me2 decisions, ammo, money, level, xp, etc.

there's a walkthrough to do it on the bioware social forum.

i wish i would've paced myself instead of doing 7 playthroughs when the game came out and getting sick of it. now i'm not even a little interested in DLC.

i think this article is referring to the Liara DLC. people have found some sound files of a convo between shep and liara that say "cerberus gave me information about where the shadow broker is" and liara saying "you know where the shadow broker is? let's go"

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. I swear to fug that better not be what EA was referring to when they said they had something far-reaching planned for the Mass Effect universe for their financial Q4 in 2011. I mean if they do a full expansion or something, that would be cool. But I'm already hyping myself up for Mass Effect 3 being released in that time frame.

i doubt that's the big 2011 thing. if that's not part 3, it better at least be 2.5. or maybe some kind of other media like the movie that the Marvel producer guy bought the rights for. or a tv show. or a spinoff. the word "universe" kinda sounds that way.

i think the Liara one will just be a single mission where you go fight the Shadow Broker. there are also sound files of Liara saying "i still won't come with you for some bs reason" after you kill him.

There's another book coming out in July, it's supposed to pick up the story from Mass Effect 2, about the collector technology and how the illusive man uses it (guess it's a good thing I decided to give it to him then, otherwise reading the book would be kinda pointless.)

feels pretty slimey, especially when everyone yells at you later on the ship.
