to me what makes an RPG is... playing the role. the choices and the story. not micromanaging your inventory.

some weapon variety would be nice, since i'm on my third playthrough mostly using the same sub machine gun. but it's not that big of a deal to me.

agreed

just like ME1, recorded dialogue has been found in the game files of same sex romances. femshep/tali and manshep/thane.

they keep recording it and chickening out.

in ME1 you could originally bang Kaidan. that dude is so obviously a ***.

I like how I ruled with my infiltrator not because I had X weapon with X stats or the best armor, or the best attribute build or I was lucky with rolling dice.

I ruled because I was good at shooting people in the face. The roleplaying part is all in the dialog, and that's the way it was with the original too. Terrible inventory management, etc does not make a good game IMO.

Having more choices as far as gear would have been nice, but seriously I like the style of "pick which one fits your character" instead of "pick the one that has the highest number u dum dum LOL!"

oh and i totally rerolled male shep to bang miranda. bioware get in on the boss bitch ***** action wtf.

this is the first bioware game where there's some semblance of a shade of gray.

usually it's like "murder african children" or "donate plasma"

except at the same time, it punishes shades of gray. since persuasion now relies on your paragon/renegade points, if you are playing a gray character you can't use them.

i've been unable defend tali or recruit morinth because i wasn't good or evil enough.

really though i thought that dragon age's decisions were the best from bioware games. you'd get to points where you're like "wow both of these really suck lol".. if you're trying to be the good guy or whatnot, it's really fuggin hard.

i enjoyed that a lot, tbh. in mass effect i play through as boss bitch shep and then again as faggo male paragon shep. the dialog options and stuff make it worth it. not to mention the combat is actually fun in this game.

do you guys remember Aleena from ME1? Wrex tells a story about her, an asari commando friend of his who he was hired to kill.

i was hoping she was going to be a squadmate in ME2, because i knew there was a reason for the conversation. it was just left open.

i'm pretty sure it's Aria.

when you press for info about her, she mentions she's gone by many names. and the last thing she says in that convo is "better luck next time." that's what she said to Wrex before she disappeared. it all fits. she was a former commando, former mercenary, and the Patriarch "isn't the first krogan i've pissed off."
