here is what i used for each position. i had 100% survival.

tech: tali

fire team leader: jacob

escort: jacob

second team leader: miranda

biotic shield: jack

my squad: samara & legion

and don't leave anyone behind to watch the door

i had every member loyal, and all of their upgrades.

Anyone else playing though on insane? If your going to try it I have a few very useful tips and suggestions(found out the hard way) that you might want to know first.

1. Start a new game or import from ME1 enemies are leveled to you on insane lvl 30 with no power ups is a bad idea...

2. My suggestion for a class is the infiltrator, the cloack + agent + tungsten ammo(you have to add this by doing Garras's loyalty misson on a different play through) when maxed out can = a 175+% damage multiplier and you will thank me later for that, it might be a little tough at first but after you get the stuff I mentioned powered up it's night and day and gets a hell of a lot easier.

i just started a new shepard (stupid) as an adept (stupid) on insane (stupid) and chose warp ammo (stupid) as my bonus power.

i'm totally doin it and this afternoon i got from the beginning of the game to archangel (since this is not the spoiler thread ) and died probably between 10 and 15 times.

its god damn brutal, but rewarding. i will get that achievement

Starting a new shep isn't stupid it's the thing to do, your choice of doing adept though may need to be called into question

i just played as fem shep infiltrator on normal, so i'm not really feeling that for the second go-round tbh.

but yes, the damage you can do with cloak and the assassin specialization or whatever is pretty insane.

I really feel we shouldn't judge mass effect 2 until we play mass effect 3

sorta like star wars 5-6 (hopefully) or like matrix 2-3 (hopefully not)

Jack is a much greater character when you're playing a male. i feel like they really are shortchanging the story with the way they handled the gender relationships.

with femsheps, the conversation is the same right up to the point that it would turn romantic, and then they just say "ok bye" abruptly and we don't get to learn any more about the character.

if they don't want to have same-sex romance, then have them go down to the crew deck and have a drink so we can actually continue to interact with the characters instead of just hitting a wall because our character is the wrong sex to interact with them.
