I hope you're right. But I gotta believe Norwell would have a better chance of making the roster than him, so why not kick the tires? At least give the guy a physical.

Seriously, the least we could do is cup his balls and check his prostate then see where things go from there.

The Panthers would be making a mistake in my opinion signing the soon to be 32 year old Andrew Norwell, who  may be on the downward slope of what has been a long successful career.

The fact that Washington signed Norwell to a two-year contract last offseason to be their starting left guard but coaches considered his play inconsistent, and they wanted more youth along the line, says it all..

Norwell is better than Tecklenburg and McCray though.

Might be worth considering who makes the personnel decisions in Washington.

If the new owner is smart he would clean house in Washington.  Ron is a dead man walking and Hurney should have been sent packing as soon as the ink was dry on the sale.

So dont even kick the tires and do our due diligence just because he played for us before and was just cut?

I'm more interested to see who Campen and Reich and company choose to bring in than trying to suggest players for them

TBF, that's pretty much the definition of being a fan. lol

Sure...I get it. In retrospect it's not a bad idea but I'm not going to be upset if they don't look at him.

I doubt he's in a rush to get to any training camp. He can wait until camps are over as a veteran

    • He can say what he feels, but he's not saying "the previous year, the team wasn't very good" he directly called his teammates out and in a way that is flat-out not true. "You are your record"? Oh ok, he's only had 3 winning seasons, but in my mind he isn't a loser, and I bet he isn't in his either - cause football is a team sport and wins and losses are on the team, even when one really bad player (Jimminy Pickles) can basically screw over everything.  And this comes on the heels of his thing about the MVP, which is fine, but also selfish. His teammates consistently went to bat for him... Just feels like he's more about himself.
    • Good point--I think this draft is great for us at this time--At the top of the draft, the DT (DEs/NTs in 3-4) are loaded.  The Edges are deep.  We need to double dip there--hoping to move back so we can add three players to that pool.  In free agency, if I were Morgan, I would focus on DBs and  ILB--fix the back end of the defense.  If he signed a S, CB, ILB, and TE, it would be cost effective.  In the draft, DE, Edge, and WR should be the priorities.  After that, OL Depth, QB depth, DB depth, RB depth.  My Free agent Targets:  TE: Juwan Johnson, Saints.  29, had over 500 yards with Saints. S: Julian Blackmon, Colts.  He will be one of the top free agents--gonna cost us, but not like an edge or WR. ILB: Tyrel Dodson, Dolphins.  80 tackles on just 854 snaps--under 27 years of age. CB: Mike Jackson, Carolina.  He is 28 and had 3 picks and was on the field at all times.  68 PFF score. NT:  best available for Evero's system.
