He didn’t have health issues last year - he put his potential nfl career ahead of his team.  He flat out refused to play most games.  I’m an App alumni, donor, and ticket holder…most of us die hard fans spent the season pissed at him.

Kinda ridiculous to be mad at a college kid protecting his potential pro career. It ain't basketball or soccer. Every time those kids take the field they legitimately risk an injury that could derail any chance of a pro career.

I won't get excited until I see him legitimately running with the big dogs. The highlights don't do anything for me to be honest. He's looking a little pedestrian among so-so competition. Perhaps it's a function of the offense, but they seemed to run him around the edge way too much, and it looks like to me that he just doesn't have that type of speed, or quickness in the flat. I see him as a PS guy at this point. I don't know who he'd beat out. We can just pull one of the TEs to play H-back or fullback when necessary.

That was all his “pop” plays. His bread and butter was moving the pile. But when he gets on the outside, Cam can move.

As am I! Go App! Word from the locker room was he hated the rotation from Coach Clark. You remember. 2 runs and they would pull him for Nate. Then Nate got pulled for Harrington. Then back to Cam. Cam hated the rotation and couldn’t stay fresh. I agree with him 100%. When he was loose, he was a machine. I hated the way coach Clark rotated his backs. And I know from first hand conversations, he did too.

If he really did refuse to play when available to avoid injury I fail to see how that will change in the NFL.

Things change when you're getting paid and are potentially easily replaceable. People have made this argument against kids sitting out meaningless bowl games but I've never seen any evidence of that decision negatively impacting draft stock or the mentality carrying over to the NFL.
