Again. I am saying Burns isn’t worth 25 million per year or a 100 plus million dollar contract. 
I never said we shouldn’t try to sign him and take advantage of our rookie QB contract. I just wish we could get him cheaper. I would be fine with 15-18 million per. But 25 million is elite. Which I don’t think he is yet. 
I hope it works out and the Burns finally reached that point.

The rule used to be; Attack the post, not the poster. Now it's just Attack. Civility and common courtesy have gone by the wayside. Nowadays it's throw out an insult, then spend two paragraphs explaining why you're stupid.

 

There is still good conversation to be had. But even in those you have to navigate around folks trying to derail the whole darn thing. And it's showing by how few ppl are actually posting anymore.

 

The most exciting time in a while, and the talk should revolve around that. Instead, it's like a battlefield in here.

So I guess the question becomes; Are there any players you would pay? Because if you don't want to pay 'Burns, there can't be many players you would want to pay.

 

Then if you don't pay Burns it sends a message that the Panthers won't pay their own. Then it starts getting messy.

 

Buying FA every year is expensive and makes it dang near impossible to build chemistry.

Already did that with that All Pro subscription. Boy that was worth it for about 6 months. Then just like everything else around here. It went downhill til it eventually disappeared.

If everything went downhill and it’s ran by the inmates as you stated, why continue posting here? It must bring you some sort of enjoyment or you are just wasting your time right? When the season is rolling or the Panthers are active it’s still a good forum IMO.

And real football is still almost a month away. This place may not survive that long. There are only 24 ppl viewing the Huddle right now.

I’m not “attacking” you. Simply stating if it was as dark of a place as you are stating you wouldn’t be on here posting unless you are just wanting some extra drama or arguments in your life. You have posted several times about how bad this place this. Maybe posts like that are part of the problem?

Honestly it looks about like any other teams board this time of year to me. The draft and our top pick drove up traffic and the same will happen when the season starts. This is an optimistic post to counter your pessimistic one.

It is a tough time for a sports forum in anything other than MLB.  If there is a golf forum, maybe that.  I'm on an NHL forum, and the topics and discussion on the general board make the topics and discussion here look the final 10 minutes of this year's Super Bowl.

In terms of snarkiness and people making and taking every thing personal, that is a problem beyond this board.  People seem to have some insane desire to cubby-hole everything and everybody into a name or category they can understand, rather than trying to expand their understanding.  I guess it is a convenient way to go through life, although pretty limiting, IMO.
