It's nonsense

Stroud going to a super exclusive party for one night doesn't mean he isn't working hard between now and training camp.

Just as Young doing this 3 day camp with the guys doesn't mean he won't go out to any parties between now and training camp.

No player is studying and working out every minute they are awake right now.  This is a time for guys to get some work done, but also to relax and have some responsible fun before the grind of camp starts up in a few weeks.

People here ragged on Cam for years whenever he would do something “not football” related. Like give me a freakin break.

WTF does God have to do with anything? In fact in case you haven’t been keeping track, some of the most evil people on this planet worship God.

Ah, but they’re probably ‘fake’ believers…amiright?

Plenty of great people in this world and history don’t share your religion or care about myths.

But clearly that’s way past your comprehension level.

Unfortunately some people use religion just to help their agenda. It is usually not difficult at all for most of us to realize that fact. Unfortunately there are those who paint everyone who is a person of faith with a broad brush because of a few. If you spend any substantial amount of time around someone you can discern the difference in someone who is a true person of faith. Their actions tell who they are.

Just looking at some new highlights and it seems that we got a new star in Lavieka Shenault Jrhttps://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2023/07/14/panthers-bryce-young-laviska-shenault-deep-ball-.

The way yall hype these WR's you would think we have the best WR core in the league.

So far TMJ and Shenault have star potential. Yet nobody in the media thinks highly of our WR core.

Something not adding up...

Why are you "hating" on our WRs, why are you even a "Panthers fan" ?

I see what you did there from the other thread...

But this is not hating. Im simply saying these guys are getting called potential stars with no production to back it up.

That's pretty much why it is prefaced with "potential"

If they already had production to backup it up they wouldn't be potential stars, they would be stars.

So we have 2 potential stars in TMJ and Shenault.

Funny the Panthers went out and signed 2 vets to start over them.

Cmon bro not everyone is a potential star. I can see if these dudes have shown some clear signs of potential stardom but we can't be calling every young WR on the roster a potential star.

How is that trashing him though?

Im basically saying Bryce seems more focused on football.

Its amazing how much some still cling to S2troud.  Oh no, someone on the Panthers board ripped on the rookie QB for Houston!

He's a QB for a different team.  IDAF about S2troud.

It was never, ever, going to be S2troud.  Ever.  Some people just need to move on.

"...so good mentally"

So he's already better than any recent QB we've had.   *wink* *wink*

(This is going to be very exciting to watch this guy develop...and the best part?  No Matt Rhule to ruin him)

EDIT : Nice shorts, Bryce. 🙃

    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
    • Well, we got our answer on Army today.
    • Not a chance the SEC could compete with the NFL.  In the large cities that are not in the Southeast, (LA, NYC, Chicago, SF) College football is an afterthought.
