So real talk, regardless of everyone’s opinion, what is the expectation for Miles? Does he play for the Hornets this year?

Belief is he'll play without limitations after the current suspension assuming he stays out of further trouble (not sure that's a fair assumption though). My expectations of him are honestly kinda low though, a full year off the court and having all those distractions I don't expect him to be as dominant as he was 2 years ago. Somewhere in between his 20-21 season and his 21-22 season.

If he can play anything like 2 years ago that would be insanely huge for this team. We were looking like a legit 5 or 6 seed that year with healthy Melo and Miles carrying the team and many of the other same pieces still here with PJ, Terry, Hayward (albeit different coaching staff). Unfortunately injuries hit us and derailed our season a bit, dropping us to play-in round and ensuing blowout loss. And now this season we have most of the same pieces that had us playing great ball that year, but with LaMelo and PJ being better AND adding Mark and Miller.

The talent is there, and if Clifford can't make this team a top 6 seed he's gotta be replaced. Never should've been hired really but here we are with him.

Miles Bridges Speaks on Future with Hornets

“It’s still the same,” Bridges responded when asked about his upcoming free agency. “I would love to be here. It’s my plan to be here. I love the city of Charlotte. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. I grew up here. I’ve been here since I was 20. I’ve been through a lot here and the Hornets stayed down on me when they didn’t have to. It’s like a family to me here. My mom loves it here, my family loves it here. It’s home to me.

“You don’t see too many people finishing their careers (where they started). Steph (Curry) he’s kind of been that model player for this generation. A lot of people be moving teams and moving around. I don’t want to do that. I want to be like Step, Kobe, and Dirk in that type of way - staying with a team and winning with a team.”

Glad to hear it, hope he takes a bit of a discount too considering the legal situation we stuck with him through. Miles is an important piece for this team's future, if we are to have any.

    • For the silly people that worship her it will be that.  The Coleman 'legend' thing, they did that with another fairly average player that was here and I sort of mocked or questioned the 'legend' status. Instantly caught crap for insulting someone's favorite Panther. So okay, Kurt Coleman is a Legend.
    • You allow him to compete--you all are talking as if I am proposing making him the starter. Give him a new coach, new weapons, good OL, etc. and see what happens. You are saying, "Well Damn.  It did not work for 3 guys..."  Right now, our C is injured, we lost our top 2 WRs.  Better question:  If you need a QB, Why would you not take a chance on bringing in a QB who was a former first rounder, a good arm, intelligence, mobility, youth, etc.  and see how he does out of NY--with a better OL, better running game, better receivers.  I am not saying give him a 10-year contract, I am saying give him a chance. You act like there is no improvement on offense here--it was a 2 year process, and next year is year 2.  To me, how can you sit there with Bryce and an opportunity to sign a veteran QB on the cheap comes available and you say--"Not us. We're good.  We are waiting for Patrick Mahommes."  Jone's problem is obviously mental--and he has little support.  Why is this so frigging hard to comprehend.  It is called "bottom fishing" and it is better than sitting in the boat.
    • I think we're going to fall from behind quite early and be forced to abandon the run game.  3 rushes -2 yards 1 catch -10 yards
