For starters, Orlov isn’t playing on the bottom pairing for $7.75AAV and TDA isn’t going to be the 7th defenseman.

With the Orlov signing, Skjei is definitely getting moved for a forward and and if the Canes get Karlsson the Pesce is headed out too.

You forget this is Rod. fug ya he’ll let Orlov play 3 and people will be fuging dying because of it, but more importantly we will have the Great Wall of Gondor as our defense. I’m sticking with that!

I’d bet my house that we aren’t done. Rod may be in charge of the team by Waddell isn’t stupid enough to sign a defenseman for $7.75M and have Rod play him on the bottom unit.

This year is a poo market for forwards even on trades. Get to the deadline, wheel and deal there. Wanna bump someone so it then.

His mean streak worries me. Also his laziness according to Toronto folks. The last thing we need is another TT, not that TT is bad, but I think you know what I mean.

There’s something out there in left field for us, just like the Patches deal but hopefully this time it works out.

I’m still worried Orlov is going to need 6 month surgery or some poo knowing Don at this point. 
 

On the forward front I think we brought bunting in to cover the gap until svech gets back while allowing Pono to get some reps.

I think the fact that Svech is unlikely to be ready at the start of the season is another reason we aren’t done.

On the forward front we could use a merc to cover further until svech is back. But we could get that with some prospects or picks at this point.

We don’t need a 5-7 million player to cover him though.

Remember svech is 7.5 that’s not being counted right now. Even if we move both our 2D we still wouldn’t have enough to cover at the rate I said above.
