I'd rather go to the dance club. Sure my odds of hooking up are probably the same, but at least I have the satisfaction of knowing that is a girl is acting interested in me she's not being paid to do so.

The appeal is you get to see some nekked strange and reminisce about the times you had before you put on the ball and chain. You hang out with yer buddies, have a few drinks and ogle the wimmens. I don't dance nor am I interested in "hooking up", so there's no attraction in a dance club (or more correctly imo, a meat market). There's also something to be said for the kindness of a stripper (even if it's fake) over watching a table of bitches who think they're hotter than they actually are, shoot down every dude that works up the nerve to actually go over and introduce himself.

I don't go much any more...usually it's when working out of town with other guys or when we do a hockey road trip. We're generally all married guys, not looking to cheat, but still pervy enough to be interested in looking at live nude girls. I've gone probably 5 times in the past 7 or 8 years.

Oh, and my wife doesn't mind, and actually prefers I go to the nudie bar....in her words she knows I'm not picking anyone up in a strip joint vs going to a meat market.

Its still fun to go with the guys once in a while, especially for things like bachelor parties.

That's it for me...went a couple times in NYC after we had a regional meeting. Went in Raleigh when I was down for the week doing a big install at SunTrust. Prior to that, probably once on a couple of training trips to RI. And when we went to ATL for a hockey game. I probably went more when I lived in ATL and guys would come into town to help out with work. They always wanted to hit the strip joints. Always.

I never buy drinks for chicks at the bar, no exception. Same principal, if I never buy a girl a drink, then I know if she's interested in me she's not just acting to get something out of it. Plus I learned pretty quickly in my drink-buying days that a girl with either hook up with you, or not. A $25 shot of Patron silver ain't gonna do nothing but make you $25 poorer.

I think this is an excellent assessment. You've pretty well cleared it up. Maybe I don't care for the strip club because I still consider myself unattached (girlfriend notwithstanding). And I only went with one friend; not all my buddies. So, the strip club is not seen as an establishment for picking up girls, but going and watching and enjoying. I guess I'm still at the age and commitment status where I'd still rather be out chasing girls.

And the trick to not getting shot down at the club is avoid talking to American girls like the plague. American girls (the overdone D.C. biznatches in particular) like to look cute, but have such low self confidence that the only way they can build it up is to shoot down guys to try to convince themselves they are hotter. I always seek out the Europeans; they're much kinder, and just trying to enjoy themselves and be sociable. Find a table with three Russian women, and you'll be entertained all night (Well, that's my fetish anyway; the accent slays me)

So....there's no point in going to the Louvre to see the Mona Lisa and all the other works of art because you can't take the paintings home? Especially since you can see many of them online for free?

if the choice was between spending huge bucks to enter the louvre to see the art or walk up the road to the Eiffel tower and see all the art displays on the lawn and maybe getting to take one of those home...then yes!

but there's nothing wrong with it...I'm just saying for myself personally...there's never been much appeal.

like many things in life its what you make of it and how much money youre going to spend.

not a brag pheg, but I had a system that was near perfect for 20$. Not going to say details of what I got for it, just tons and tons of FUN F-U-N

I dont go near as much, but if I want to see real bewbs rather than porn, I go.

I even wrote a piece on this. All clubs give out free passes to local bars, motels, and restaurants. Again like real life its about who you know. I learned quickly to become friends with the floor hosts first, then DJ, then cocktail girls, even the bathroom guy. Floor hosts know which ladies to talk too, depending on what you are looking for(THANK YOU TOMMY IN MB, SC). Plus they have the vip passes and lots of other stuff.

get a rich friend.

even if you dont smoke, before you go buy a pack of menthol cigarettes. I cannt stress how important this is. Its like cat nip for cats... During slow times, the ladies will come to you and those are the ones you want to talk too. worked in all area codes. get drunk before, but pace yourself. get to the point of one beer and slip on it or the booze of your choice. thats where knowing the bar/cocktail girls comes in. be up front with most so they dont bug you later. dont buy lap dances. catroop has dead on about that. hehe, if youre seeing the lady its free........and her friends work there too. bring a female, YOU WILL HAVE MORE FUN. most ladies there are bi-sexual and much rather talk to another woman rather than a fat old rude golfer. thats enough for now, who knows the game may have changed......
