maybe, but really it was always going to be Carolina or Houston, and who would he go and study in Houston?

Demarco Ryans as HC and he took the 49ers passing game coordinator to be his OC, sure he could have watched 49ers film, but that's Shanahan's offense, who knows how similar this guy will want to run an offense.

A lot easier to watch old Reich run offenses

More than anything, the underlying point or takeaway from my post is: We might have a special one on our hands here.  It's already more than apparent he's highly intelligent and motivated.

Not sure who all saw this in the OTAs thread, but this story just impressed the hell out of me as had all the things i've been hearing about him...especially the word "poise" i keep hearing/seeing said about him in all aspects.

the kid is as impressive as you could want anyone to be so far.

btw...props to @poundawayfor this find.

THIS KID. OMGAH. SO...IMPRESSIVE! JUST EVERYTHING IS SO GOOD. WOW!

Man, people drooling over this guy more than any other player I can remember and he literally has not done poo yet. Nothing. Nadda. Zilch. Can we at least wait until Preseason before we have enough drool to fill up the fuging Pacific Ocean? It's nauseating.

He is a QB and the #1 overall pick.  How often does that happen for a team? ....Well at least for most teams. What do you expect?  It is all we have at this point.  Hope, joy, and dreams of glory.

Unfortunately there are people on this board who are miserable and want everyone else to be miserable.
Also we didn’t draft the player he wanted.

You really need to just take a step back from being a Panthers fan because it is obvious is it making you miserable.

Y'all sunshiners are quite sensitive. No one even said anything negative, just that this is a lot of conclusion-jumping based on a single soundbyte.

Seriously? All he ever posts in here is negative poo about either Young or fans who are excited  about him, which that absolutely was.

Seems like posters like @CPcavedwellerare the sensitive ones having a cow over actual fans being excited over the our new QB who is impressing the hell out of everyone except for a few of you.

I seriously don't see why any of you feel necessary to try and tell anydamnbody to not be excited and settle down.

And yes, this kind of poo is seriously pissing me off. At least you contribute to other conversations in here. People like who I was responding to only seem to interject anything at all in here when it's about Young either criticizing the pick or people excited about him and at this point it's just being a negative ass troll.

    • Beck folds under pressure.   I have watched Sanders with that kind of pressure and he makes love to it.    When you watch these QBs you have to pay attention to that kind of stuff. Oline play matters and when you have a QB who can have success with a bad Oline that is a good sign.
    • Oh, and while I'll admit I didn't watch their game today, his stats today seem a bit underwhelming. 9 for 89 (and yes a TD as well) when he also had a 29 yard catch, so only had 60 yards on his other 8 catches, is kinda meh, sounds like he just got a bunch of short catches that he couldn't break into long gainers. Like I've said before, T-Mac is so much more of a prototypical outside #1 WR who is a downfield threat, but with Hunter's size, he's more of a slot WR who you need to get the ball into his hands for him to be most effective. Of course he can be a great NFL WR if he plays that side of the ball, but it's why I put him below T-Mac in particular.  I'd rather have the true #1 than someone who's likely going to need to be more of a slot WR to be most effective in the NFL (and again I think he ends up on the defensive side of the ball anyways as most scouts agree it's the side he has a higher potential at the next level)
