At this point in time, who feels like we lost this trade?

Point is people were hammering people for saying truth, because it ruined your safe optimistic space.

Whatever.

Yeah, that's all true. But when people want to believe something, and they are emotionally invested, don't try to reason with them. Will never convince a person in that state.

Crystal balls are overrated.

It's only the truth after the fact, and some across the league will still say that it's our truth because the Panthers put the kid in an awful situation.

For me, I've seen enough. Like Jay Gruden said, there is nothing that I've seen that's redeeming about his game. Even if he improves, I just don't see how he'll ever be a top 10 guy.

Ooof. That was a bad take and Darnold is the QB of the 2-0 vikings.

I still stand by the idea we had to take a shot. Darnold won us few games too. He’s not winning championships.

Where is your take Mr ‘joined 5 months ago’?

That wasn't the shot unless you had identified CJ as the target. Thinking that Bryce Young was a future NFL star QB, that's a big problem.

You really can't without on field play.
We had no NFL evidence in June of 2023 so there was only speculation anyway.

I stayed a lot away until the season. Then it is fair game because it isn't college anymore.

Of course you can. Quit trying to apply rationale to the topic. The emotional brain was fully in control. Statistics? No one gave a poo and guess what? It'll happen again. Particularly in cases of desperation when there is no hard evidence (in game performance) to the contrary.

It wasn’t all speculation. For people who consume college football as much, if not more, than the NFL it was easy to see. Bryce doesn’t have the arm. He doesn’t have the extra elite traits to make up for his lack of traits.

you don’t give up what we gave up for a guy who requires an offense of first round talent to succeed. You take a guy like Andrew Luck, Cam Newton, Joe Burrow, etc. with that trade. Not a guy like Bryce.

Regarding Caleb, unlike Young, he seems to have the physical tools.  No way to know at this point if he will make the adjustment to the NFL or not.  His start has been inconsistent at best.

Caleb has the arm, and if he develops the mental aspect he will be really very good. He reminds me a lot of Dak.
