Tebow wil accept a position switch

On playing quarterback versus switching to another position in the NFL:

“My goal is to play quarterback. I’m going to do whatever it takes and work as hard as I possibly can to be a quarterback. If I’m on a team and they want me to go play another position and that’s what they tell me to do, I will gladly go play another position with my whole heart and do it to the best of my ability. But my goal is to be a quarterback and I’m going to do whatever it takes to try to reach that goal.

On why he thinks he will be a successful NFL quarterback:

“The work ethic that I’m going to be able to put into it, and the drive that I’m going to have to succeed and to push myself to get the most out of myself and to reach my peak, and hopefully they just believe that I’m going to do whatever it takes, and that’s something I take pride in.”

Lot better attitude than Eric Crouch had.

The Golden Calf of Bristol is one of those guys I'd absolutely love to see succeed (hopefully not with a division rival) because he's as great a kid as you'll find. Sadly, I still just don't believe his skill set will translate well to the pro level, and I'm not alone in that.

If the Panthers drafted him, I'd cheer for him and I'd hope for the best.

Right now, I'd rather not find myself in that position.

But who wants a throwback Fullback that can kinda throw?

Not a RB that can run like the wind and throw as a bailout, or a RB disguised as a QB (Vick) but an actual honest to goodness circa 1960s FB.

Who was the last guy to be that guy?

MAYBE Alstott, but he was a big slow RB, not a true FB.

Dunno where he fits.

Think of him more as a guy who can contribute on your team at another spot while you develop him as a QB of the future (ala Kordell Stewart or Seneca Wallace).

And for one of the seemingly nicest athletes out there.

People will always find a reason to hate the successful. If he was a bad person, they would hate him for that. Since he isn't, they hate him for what they aren't. I'm a Gators fan and I've never been one of those crazy The Golden Calf of Bristol lovers, but I really hope the kid succeeds. Probably the nicest person I have ever met.

The Golden Calf of Bristol is the answer for QB like Cowher is the answer for HC.

In theory, I think it's retarded and I hate the idea. But in reality, I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't be at least kind of excited/optimistic about it with the media hype and all that would surely ensue.

What do sand castles and Florida Gators football team have in common?
