Draft lottery talk

And the funniest part about it.  His mid range game, which his shooting there is top tier.  On film a lot of those shots are from the college 3.  So imagine if he was playing in College from the closer stripe and Miller was playing in the developmental league with a further stripe.  The numbers would look a lot different.
Again, if you would just turn on the tape.  You’d see.

Meanwhile Miller best game is 41 points coming off the gun incident with the media against him. Talk about performing great under pressure!

Miller will be the guy dropping 50 points on any given night. Scoot doesn't have that type of ability.

Then why has Miller passed him up as the 2nd best prospect?

Umm

he did eventually at approximately 830 or so last night.

Why did Stroud pass Bryce when the Panthers traded to 1.  It’s all based on assumptions.

Scoot was always regarded as the better player and still is the better player despite Miller’s good college season up until the tournament.

Not a knock on him.  But Scoot was always regarded as a can’t miss type prospect who just was unfortunate to be stuck in the same draft as the most hyped prospect in generations

Greg Oden was considered the same way but reality was the Kid from Texas name Kevin Durant was the better player..

Against college kids where only about 2 guys he was going against that night would even make it to the league Scoot was playing in.

And while we’re on pressure, how about the NCAA Tourney.

And Durant played better.  It’s not like Scoot played bad.  Also when Oden was coming out, the league was chasing the next big man.  The next shaq, thus the reason those guys catapulted up to the top.   Hence check out Hasheem Thabeet around that time.

Before the season

After the Season

This is like the whole Bryce thing all over again.   Bryce was the clear cut projected top pick until we traded up and then everyone flipped and assumed and went to Stroud just because a YouTube series off 10 plays, height, and a dap up caught on video.  When the dust settled it’s what was project all along.

Its always been Scoot number 2

Before the season

During the season

and after the season

But once we got the 2nd pick it’s well……the other guy is taller, and the other guy fits a positional need better.

Look at every mock before the order was announced.

ESPN has Miller at 2. Look we can keep “debating” on whether it’s “debatable” or not but that’s kind of proving my point. It’s debatable…

He didn’t but reality is Team fit, Potential, and potential value is in Millers favor.. Not to mention defensively he is the better more versatile defender..
So not only do is he the better scorer between the 2 he is the better defender..

What am I missing here..

It’s really not like the Bryce thing at all. Young was the best player at the highest position of need for us. We didn’t care about Will Anderson or Carter who might have been better overall prospects because we needed a QB. We traded up and traded based on the team’s top need.

Exactly Miller is the equally talented player at a position of need and has more positional value..

It was live on air during the ESPN interview with Wemby.

He said he knew he would be going to San Antonio months ago to follow in the footsteps of other France greats to play for the franchise such as Tony Parker and Boris Diaw.

I knew the draft was rigged but this was pretty much confirmation. I can't believe this didn't blow up on twitter.

If you listen closely, he actually said a few “minutes” ago. That’s why there was no blow up on twitter

    • The other draft picks have turned out pretty well. Brooks will too.
    • I'm still not touching Hunter He again said the other day that he plans on playing both sides of the ball in the NFL.  If he is allowed to do that, he won't be as good on either side as his potential and he's going to have serious injury issues and have a short career.  If he's not allowed to do it, I think he's going to become a problem when the team isn't winning as he's going to feel him not being used on both sides of the ball is why. He's being coddled in that environment with Deion and I think it's doing a disservice to him to prepare him for life in the NFL where your coach isn't a 2nd father to you, to where you can just walk into his locker room and steal his shoes like Hunter does to Deion.
    • He’s a tad behind them. Around 15ish of 32 starters in the league. He’s well ahead of a lot of guys. Tua, Bryce, Cousins (present), Rodgers (current), Devito/Jones, Minshew, Russ (current), Watson, Smith, Carr, T Laws deep ball is weak as poo IMO, there’s plenty. And it’s not like everyone is ripping 60+ers. The key component is if you can rip and maintain velocity of the 30-40 yarders which he does super well. Legit every report out there from Brugler to PFF to PFN document him as good/above average arm strength.  Eye test tells me it’s pretty much that as well, slightly above average.
