Peak Darnold was 3,000 yards with 19 TDs and 13 INTs.  Darnold sucks.

The last QB to win OROY had 4,300 yards with 31 TDs and 10 INTs.

I think Darnold last year with a good OL and a decent coach was peak for him.  1143 yards 7 TDs 3 INTs.  It was an incomplete season but it was designed for him to limit his mistakes much like you would with a rookie.  He did it over 6 games so that make it on track for what?  3200 passing yards, 20 TDs  8.5 INTS.  Better play from a rookie would be a nice start.  Lower INTs, More TDs, and More Yards.

I am not arguing if he sucks because I don't think he is a starting QB in this league, I am saying if we get better play from our rookie than Sam had last year it would be a nice start.  The theory is the rookie gets better while Sam was on his 5th year.

Has CJ and richardson ranked above Bryce. Interesting

The whole knock on AR was he was less ready than the other two. Simms list is supposed to be for the upcoming season, not projecting 3 years in the future. Putting AR ahead of the other two first round QBs for THIS season makes this whole list a farce.

This feels like he was doing something controversial just to get clicks/views.

It's weird because Corral and Young don't look much different in size here.  According to Fitt Corral is up to 220 and he was what 6'2"?

Odd angle maybe, swapping positions makes the height difference more apparent even though Bryce moved into the foreground

Yeah i think it's just the camera angle and the fact that Corral is in the foreground. One thing to remember about all these pics is that the camera angle and position of players can make them seem taller or shorter than they really are.  People making fun of Young because he looks small in one picture behind our line are idiots.

Between the Zack Wilson, Corral, and Mitch comments he is just saying things to go against the grain and make some headlines.

Exactly. Chris Simms going against the grain and trying to make some headlines  is the same way I took it..

I was pretty sure Anderson was going to be drafted early, but I agree with Simms that Anderson isn't as good of a prospect as he was built up to be.  I think if the Cardinals scheme him to the QB he will put up good numbers.  But if they expect him to beat tackles on his own week in and week out, they are going to be disappointed.

William Anderson Jr. is an American football defensive end for the Houston Texans

Yeah, that one kinda confused me as well. Although, I do find that confusing me is so much easier than it used to be. So, I really wasn't too sure in the first place. lol

It’s not about the beginning of the year. Caleb Williams finished college football this year as the best QB in college football. And that’s why he was awarded the awards. Bryce was terrific. Caleb was just better. And he’s a better pro prospect due to his size, arm strength and speed compared to Bryce.

That’s why there’s many articles like this: https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2023-all-eligible-nfl-mock-draft

Bears, and I agree, would not have traded out of first overall if Caleb was on the board. And they’d take him with Fields on the roster.

Here’s another about how Caleb would have been the first pick in this class and even last years class: https://247sports.com/Article/Caleb-Williams-would-be-first-QB-selected-in-2023-or-last-years-NFL-Draft-if-eligible-analyst-says-200236324/

https://clutchpoints.com/usc-football-news-jordan-addison-caleb-williams-nfl-draft

Here is an article on the athletic where they interviewed coaches: https://theathletic.com/4453949/2023/04/26/nfl-draft-quarterback-class-analysis/

Some preferred Stroud, some Young but even at the bottom there’s a quote where the person said Williams is significantly better than these prospects. By the time the season was over it was clear Williams was the best QB on any college field this year, Young included.

Lets have Williams declare for the draft, get drafted and play a snap in the NFL before we crown him anything.  He wasn't in this draft.  The draft is over.

What Panthers fan gives a shlt about Williams atm?

Young clearly looks much more fragile than Corral who's so durable because, you know, he weighs more.
