Of course they put our game on ESPN.smh

We can't even get all eyes on our rookie for 1 night. This is cool they will respect us down the line when Young is lighting this league on fire.

Fug em!

It’s a nationally televised game, with no competition… wtf?

Monday Night Games are overrated!! Doesn’t mean anything anymore!! In the past it meant you were good.. not that I got a Monday night game!! U had to earn it!

I disagree. Night games are the best SNF and MNF. All eyes on you from the Nat'l audience.

Reminds me of my high school years. I remember playing in scrimmage games during the summer. Ain't no way players prefer day games over night games. Them lights at night shining bright hit something different.

I am glad they mean something to you!! Times change!! NFL is money driven.. whether Young plays week 2 is not really a matter.. we have Dalton.. so it’s a headline for the NFL

I'm in NY so it won't be on basic cable, probably the only game that would have been since TNF will be on Amazon or whatever. So it does suck for national Panthers fans that don't pay for whatever cable/streaming package has espn.

If you’re in NY, you’ll probably never see a Panthers game, unless a NY team is involved or you have ESPN or Amazon… for now.

Who cares about Dalton, he made a cameo  appearance in Nawlins, that is really trying to make something out of nothing

Now if we played the Bengals there would be more of an angle, you know, the team that drafted him and was there previous franchise QB

And it's really discouraging they think the focus will be on Dalton in week 2, if he is not holding a clip board on the sidelines , than Reich is another Fox/Rivera

A lot of people don’t pay for that trash network. And there is competition, the Steelers are kicking off an hour later on the more accessible network. The Steelers of all teams. Might as well have made it Steelers v Redskins to complete the FU to Panthers fans who hate how big those fan bases are in the Carolinas.

This is a dumb take, Bryce may not be ready week 2 and that has no bearing on him as a player or the future of the franchise or its coach

You know how he gets ready, by playing, I thought we were done with the safe and cautious approach, I thought that's why people didn't want Wilks

Now we are OK with the player we have pretty much invested our immediate future in not playing, while a washed up journeymen QB is taking the snaps

    • Bryce was awful last year, first two games this year. I wanted him gone so bad. I'll admit I'm seeing a bit of progress. His size is still a huge concern, and arm strength, but I have to admit he can show very above average touch. He does seem to be improving.  You have to understand that a large part of the fans on this site (especially ones in this thread) are the exact same as Tepper. I'm talking the exact same. They act like every other quarterback in the league is putting up 500 ads and 4 TD's every game. Someone can have 3 really good games and then 1 bad game and it's "see i told you he is the worst." The guy has not been in the league long, he has all young guys he is throwing to, on a team with no identity, a broken confidence, with Tepper as an owner. In those circumstances, this is about as much as you should be asked for. And it doesn't matter what stupid trade was used to get you. He didn't make the trade. And that stupid trade does not automatically make you suddenly better at football like many in here. The progress is ok, jury is still out on him starting next year. We have more games. And many on this site do not watch games and just parrot what they hear. You can tell because they are the 3rd time you heard that day. If you want a perfect example in why you shouldnt pay much attention to these people, just go back and look at who was saying saying Darnold was the worst and we needed him gone immediately. It was so stupidly obvious that getting rid of Darnold at the time we did was the dumbest move you could make at the time. So many knew this out in the real world. Especially in our situation. But you see, the narrative was put out that he had to go, and the slow ones latch on to it and parrot. I'm not going into it but just go back and look, those people have no idea whats going on.
    • The wrist is/was an existing injury that XL has been playing thru.  Didn’t occur on that 3rd down quick throw at the sideline. The timing of the motion was f-ed in that play.
