OK, unlike Rayzor, I am a bit more understanding (though I'm not a mod) FWIW. This is still a time of transition. Some Huddlers and skeptical fans everywhere, like maybe you and @Hoenheim, will just have to see Young do his thing at a professional level on a consistent basis. I get it. I get it. Yesterday was obviously a "jarring" time for some because apparently it's the first time they've actually paid attention to Young and/or have actually seen him in person. Again, I get it. There's going to be a certain amount of surprise considering what we've all become accustomed to for however many years that we've watched the game. As such, there should be a certain amount of latitude for the reactionists who exclaim, "Oh, my god, he's tiny."

What some of the reactionists must understand is that some of us have been watching Bryce be the smallest guy among giants for years, so his mere existence on the football field is not "jarring," much less surprising. Moreover, I disagree about football. There's always been a discussion about Bryce's pure football abilities---quarterbacking abilities---to be had, as there is now, but some people just refuse to do it.

To Rayzor's credit, he hasn't banned anyone or gotten saucy or over-the-top (like he did with me when I was going back and forth with Scot). It's probably less about low-key "spamming" than it is actual surprise. Don't get me wrong, I know that message boards are rife with trolls and assholes, but apparently this Bryce thing is a thing that's not going to go away quickly, or anytime soon.

https://www.si.com/extra-mustard/2023/05/12/panthers-bryce-young-first-practice-fans-stunned-about-his-size

But, again, it shouldn't be that hard to talk about Young and football, because the guy has been good at it at all levels.

This is the point I was trying to convey, I'm not a spammer or troll I was just saying the first thing that came to mind when I saw that picture

If I was a troll or spammer I'd be bringing it up a lot more often and intentionally disrespecting people and Bryce and I'm not sure I ever did that (I did say one funny line to razor yes I'm sorry) . I'd be saying stuff like he's trash snd there's no way he can cut it in the NFL.  I'd never say stuff like that.

It's really my fault for not reading the situation/climate here, I kidna struggle irl as well complaining about various stuff, my social awareness isn't that great. I'm literally alone like 99% of the time and don't really have to talk to anyone much in my every day life either lol.

No, you're just the latest.  We've had months of posts about it.

You are free to post.  Others are free to react.

The only study on injury says not only is size not a real concern, smaller is actually an advantage.   The anecdotes (Cam, Wilson, PJ Coral) confirm it.  When asked for examples of smaller players getting hurt because they are smaller, and the injury can be attributed to his size, no examples were given.  The same goes to data shown for batted balls.  In the end, its just bias, or more accurately, biased bullshlt.

The problem isn't that Young is small, its that some people are  small minded.

Again, people here with blind optimism when there is video out there of Stroud and Levis shredding with laser throws and the same movements as Bryce.

Its not blind.  Its just optimism.  We're cheering on our new QB.

As for the S2roud and Levis worship of yours.  Talk about blind optimism... for other teams QBs.

I mean the team that drafted Stroud wanted Young over him to a degree in which they called Chicago and were going to trade up from 2 to draft him. I was a Stroud guy, but that really got me pumped about Young when I read that.

I can't help you. He's been the #1 prospect his entire career. High School, College, now the NFL. You aren't seeing what everyone else sees. That seems more like a you problem. Watch the film/player not the appearance...

People like him just like being miserable.

If sawed off means: pushing players to be better, telling them to get in their playbook, to get up of the ground after a hit practice how you play and to play with a boulder on your shoulder, then yeah...

No, I mean sucker punching players in meetings who simply asked to review certain plays in film study and on the practice field while taking a knee. Literally the only WR who they were willing to pair with him for success was Moose. I mean not wanting to work with the new franchise QB in 2011(According to Greg Olsen via A Football Life), ultimately resulting in the Panthers moving on to make it Cam and Luke's team. That's what I meant by sawed off.

He suckered punched 2 teammates.  I personally watched him lose his mind on a ref in a flag football game in charlotte years back.  Hopefully he has mellowed and it appears he has but I will always say Smith is a great great football player but a horrible horrible person

Did he have a chip on his shoulder,  yes absolutely. He's also the best WR to wear a Carolina Panthers uniform.

I'm not disputing that, so stay focused. I was a huge SS fan on the field, but some of the stuff he did off the field was detrimental to the development of other WRs during his tenure.

I am focused. He stayed true to who is,  his entire career. He made players better with his game and them watching him practice. He wasn't paid to be a coach, he was paid to be a WR. He deter any WR on the team from being better, that's on them just like it was on him.

Nah, nobody needs to be a bad teammate.
