Canes vs Devils Round 2 Game 1 Wednesday 7pm

If I’m reading interpreting this right Mike and Tripp will broadcast this series on radio. I will tune in if ESPN becomes too annoying though I stream it and 20-30 second delay.

At least bally sports tv will broadcast the after game show.

One thing the Canes need not worry about- Doug Hamilton or anyone else on their blue line hitting someone.

Canes should also not worry about any Devils player purposely trying to injure a Canes player.

Timo is more a pain in the ass and a troll to get the opponents off their game...he sure as hell pissed off Shesterkin.

But aside from that, not even he does what cheapshot sh*tstains like Trouba do.

This series is going to be won through Speed, Skill, and Goaltending.

Still haven't figured out why Trouba hasn't been disciplined. Pretty fugging obvious the first impact was the head, I don't care of Trouba's elbow was tucked, it was still a head shot.

Whoever the fugging moron on ESPN was who said, "He's driving through the core of Timo's body." What the fug!?

Down 3 goals and almost halfway thru the 3rd period and you decide to go head hunting because your team went MIA? Fug you- go talk to your teammates.

    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
    • Well, we got our answer on Army today.
    • Not a chance the SEC could compete with the NFL.  In the large cities that are not in the Southeast, (LA, NYC, Chicago, SF) College football is an afterthought.
