Woof. I don't know about that. I don't doubt his talent a bit but he looked like he needs some more development this past weekend while Minshew looked pretty sharp. Seems like they have a pretty ideal situation to not have to force him onto the field before he's truly ready.

Indianapolis took a big chance drafting quarterback Anthony Richardson with the No. 4 overall pick in April's draft, and Colts owner Jim Irsay feels the rookie will need to see the field sooner rather than later for it to pay dividends.

"As you guys know, Peyton (Manning's rookie) year we were 3-13, the first year," Irsay said on The Pat McAfee Show on Monday. "That's a guy who played a lot of college games and was really prepared as much as he could be for the league. So, for Anthony Richardson, it's going to be tough. We know that. But he has to play to get better. I mean, there's no question. Gardner (Minshew) could come out and play better early on, him just being a veteran, but we have to get Anthony on the field. And that's (head coach) Shane (Steichen's) call when he decides to do it."

While Irsay didn't make any declarations or demands about Richardson being a Week 1 starter, instead leaving the ultimate timeline to his new head coach, he made his stance on his rookie potentially being forged through the fire clear.

Rivera’s quarterback is Sam Howell. Howell, coming off an impressive performance in the preseason-opening win over the Cleveland Browns, had another good day against the Ravens on Tuesday. Howell, known for his deep ball, instead used a quick passing game to keep Baltimore’s defense on its heels.

That got the attention of Baltimore Pro Bowl cornerback Marlon Humphrey.

“He looked pretty comfortable,” Humphrey said when asked about Howell. “I didn’t know if it was going to be him or [Jacoby] Brissett throwing with the ones, but I know they have some speed out there at receiver, for sure. But he looked really comfortable. He’s a second-year guy, but he looked really comfortable back there at quarterback.”

I have problems using my phone on this site.  I have a strong wifi signal but if I try to respond to a post it often will not load or takes a long time.  Like you, no problems on my desktop.

Ravens -Commanders joint practice day 1:

The biggest takeaway from Tuesday’s practice was all the fighting. Emmanuel Forbes got into a scuffle with a Baltimore wide receiver, and others joined. Ravens tight end Mark Andrews bodyslammed Washington cornerback Danny Johnson for no apparent reason, and Commanders center Nick Gates was also involved in another battle.

Fortunately, cooler heads prevailed, and the teams accomplished what they set out to do.

I can't sign on to what Robert Saleh said/did, but I'm not the world's biggest fan of joint practices either. Among other issues, it's pretty much guaranteed there'll be a fight.

I get why teams do it, but still...

Well....looks like the Cowboys are fighting with themselves:

Here are some practice observations from the final padded practice of camp in California.

Despite going the through the entirety of training camp without any extracurricular activities, the tension boiled over on Wednesday as two separate fights broke out between the offensive and defensive lines. In the first skirmish, Sam Williams and Brock Hoffman got a little chippy after a one-on-one pass rush drill, and when Williams went to go take a cheap shot on Hoffman with his back turned, Tyler Biadasz came out of nowhere and leveled Williams, kicking things into an all-out pushing match. However, it was the second skirmish that involved a lot more activity as Tyler Biadasz once again got into it, this time with Micah Parsons who threw his fair share of punches. If Mike McCarthy wanted the intensity to be higher on Wednesday, he definitely got it. (Nick Harris)

Yeah, saw that...

And naturally, I'll be forwarding that information to Lady Cowboy Fan.
