According to the Boston Globe, via JPA Football on Twitter, 2023 is a make-or-break season for Belichick. There are people within his inner circle concerned about his job security as tension grows between him and owner Robert Kraft.

 Just as with Brady, a time will come in which it is appropriate to move on from Belichick. A third losing season in four years would cost plenty of head coaches their job; if you add in tensions with the owner, their chances of surviving are even slimmer.

It would explain why there appeared to be continued conflict throughout the 2022 season between Belichick and Jones, on and off the field, and why the coach has seemingly refused to name him the starting quarterback on multiple occasions in recent months.

Volin believes Jones' invite to Kraft's party could indicate the current state of his relationship with Belichick, as he knows more than anyone how he feels about the third-year player continuing as the QB1.

We know the Kraft's have stood by Jones throughout the last two seasons, with a lot of their support coming from his highly critiqued performance in 2022. But we also know that Belichick hasn't shown nearly the same support, making most believe even more they're not all on the same page.

Belicheck overrated HC. Got lucky with Brady. His draft classes are just as bad if not worse than the panthers if you take out the extremely lucky TB12 6th rounder.

Been saying this for years. It's amazing how these HC's get so much credit when it's clearly because of the QB.

 

Andy Reid is the best HC in football now because he has Mahomes. Can someone explain to me why Andy Reid wasn't getting this same hype in Philly?

 

NFL is a players league. Head coaches matter, but they don't make your franchise if they don't have a legit QB.

Andy Reid made 4 nfc championship games and one superbowl you troll.  He has always been considered one of the best current coaches?
