We really need some OT depth too. Our 3 tackles are Moton, Ickey, and Larnel Coleman. Really wouldn’t hurt to have another guy so we don’t have to slide Christensen with his broke ass ankle out there.

Are we suddenly not trusting this staff bc of disparities between online rankings and the scouting dept? Cmon people, we pretend to be all rah-rah and then bc it’s an unexpected get bent out of shape? They obviously see something. Let them prove themselves

I am not a Clemson homer, but the numbers do not lie. This young man is going to shine in the NFL and being around the $100 million dollar man in Roquan Smith will help him take it to the next level.

This team needed strong LB play and we just drafted a guy who played 3 different positions in 6 years who was likely headed to being undrafted

 

 

I actually liked Simpson depending on the role, but I saw some scouting reports that said he didn’t know wtf he was doing when it came to football. You can tell him to follow a guy around or rush the passer, but ask him to play zone or diagnose a play and good luck. Let’s not pretend he was some flawless prospect, he was drafted near the end of the third round for a reason. With that great of an athletic profile, it’s clear he had some major red flags for every team.

Our defensive line needs bodies. I think we are going to have some growing pains on that side of the ball. Guys who faired well with Wilks 4-3 might have a hard time in the 3-4. I think they are anticipating struggles against the run and think this guy can plug some holes situationally and rush the passer. He’s a hell of an athlete. I don’t mind the pick at all. Burns needs help.

Well, I still feel this should be a Young focused draft.   And that’s pretty much my view.  

think the draft should be WR, TE, OG, pass catching RB as priority adds  Think round 2 and 3 were ideal to get two of the first 3 in that list.  RB later on.

People miss all the time. But nobody has a first round grade on their he side or he would be gone by now. Use some logic.

Shoot he didn't even have a first round grade with the media boards. [55-60] so late 2nd round on media boards.

To be fair, I don't think I've ever been rah-rah.

I wish we hadn't traded up. The player is whatever, if that's who they wanted.

DJ Johnson reminds me a lot of James Harrison. Harrison was 24 his rookie season. Both have similar builds and skill sets. And seem to have that same nasty, mean steak in them. 
 

I also think Johnson’s ability to play inside or out at LB and possibly at times shift up to the lines makes him very versatile.
