Of course they would. Most people were making the argument that they game would stay as schedule since there were no better options (coupled with the nation's love for all things Favre).

At the time we didn't know that chargers/bengals or steelers/packers were protected. If they weren't one of them would have replaced our game. That's what I was going off of. All their remaining choices have teams with a losing record. There were no other choices

Don't get me wrong. My post above was not a threat to GMan. Just that he is the most negative asshat that any of us have ever seen. I just want to figure out how and why a person can end up like him. Also, I want to prove once and for all that he is a complete fraud. He is no Panthers fan....does not own PSL's....and does not go to the games.

If he does, all he has to do is accept our invitation and come on down.

IIRC, Fox and CBS get to protect one game each from their schedule that week. Here are the matchups:

If you're looking for games between two potential playoff contenders, the only ones that would make sense to move would be the Bears-Ravens, Packers-Steelers, and Bengals-Chargers. You could make a case for the Niners-Eagles I guess, but given that Philly and the Giants will likely stay as the primetime game the week before, then I don't know that they move that matchup. That pretty much means it's between our game and likely the Bears-Ravens since I'm guessing the other two would be the games protected by FOX and CBS respectively. And who knows if the Bears will still be in contention by that point.
