Bryce Reaction to Stroud being picked

I mean, a lot of signs seemed to indicate Bryce knew or could come to a conclusion before the draft the same as us.

Stroud has been a good friend to him and has been getting ripped a part recently. If that was my boy I’d be the same way. Stroud told the media, people who know football know what he’s capable of and where he was picked proved that.

Bryce Young comes across as a really good, level headed kid.  He understands a lot of the business of the NFL already.  That response he had for Stroud was just ANOTHER demonstration that he's a great person.

Bryce isn't dumb, he knows how the NFL media will tear guys down.  Didn't he workout with Stroud this offseason and they hit off a friendship?  I'm sure he hated seeing his buddy getting torn down over what is ultimately some BS.

definitely a cool moment. dude talked up their friendship a good bit. that just showed it wasn't just talk. genuine reaction.

so happy for both of them and AR.

feel bad that i'm just kind of 'meh' about Levis, though.

i think we'll see great things from these top three dogs.

Just now, panfanman said:

My 1st comment when Stroud walked through the doors of the green room to the stage foyer was "Whoa, he doesn't look happy about being drafted by Houston."

i think he was in shock. it has to be just the most surreal moment for any of them. no way to predict how it hits them to hear their name...or not to hear their name. i can't imagine.

They've been friends since HS.

    • I went on a solo elk hunt in the Flat Tops. It was awesomely miserable. LOL It was a late season hunt, I think third season and it was forecasted to snap off cold with highs in the upper thirties and lows in the single digits. fug it, I'm going anyway. They were wrong. The highs were in the low 20s and the lows were in the negative teens. I shivered so hard the first night I thought my teeth were going to break. It was the only time I've ever been legit concerned that I might be in trouble. Crawled out of my sleeping bag and got a fire started and suffered through the night bundled up next to the fire. I slept the next two nights literally wearing every stitch of clothing I'd brought with Nalgenes full of near boiling water in the bottom of my sleeping bag. That was the only way to have non-frozen water in the morning anyway. There was about a foot of snow on the ground and the melt/freeze crust was almost enough to support your weight but you'd go crashing through just as you went or make your step. It was exhausting travel and every step sounded like a rifle shot. Hunting was basically impossible. I never saw an elk in those four days, only saw 5-6 deer. LOL It was brutal but I loved it. Absolutely beautiful country that is never been to before and haven't been back since. I needed that four day complete break from society fighting for my life against the elements. I'm weird like that.
    • The lack of production is especially surprising given how much effort the team put into coaxing the best from him.  In just six short years he’s had the opportunity to work with 3 different GMs, 7 different head coaches and 10 different starting quarterbacks.  There’s literally no excuse to be made that one of those combos didn’t work.  It might be time to look withIAN.
    • I would say maybe 8 in a tier by themselves and all but 2 where picked in the top of the first allen pat m stroud burrow jackson hurts (maybe) Herbert Stafford
