I read from someone somewhere that Levis bombed interviews and was extremely arrogant. I chalked up to nothing because its hard to know whats true about that stuff. Looks like that might have been true.

Breer doesn't think so...

In the article, one team guy said his impression of Levis's interviews was that he was trying too hard to say the right thing instead of just being himself.

Sounds possible that the pressure of the whole draft process may have messed him up a little.

That said of course, inability to handle pressure in these situations is a red flag of its own.

His Senior tape was AWFUL.

I didn't have first round grades on Young or Levis, so him dropping out of the first round is no surprise.

You didn’t have first round GRADES on Young or ruled him out because of size?

Will is severely misunderstood and scrutinized. The reasons are deeper than ball, but we won't go there.

Will was chillin, singing songs, laughing with his hot ass gf the whole time. Not pouting or anything like others in the past.

He knows he is going to get picked, and if he ends up in the right situation - I think he will have a solid career.

Oh yeah they did the Tyrod thing for the first few weeks

Then after that disaster for Tyrod he went to the Chargers to be the starter and bridge the gap to Herbert only to have a doctor like puncture his lung during an injection and force him out of the lineup and make Herbert a day 1 starter. He has had awful luck.

Size is probably part of the grading process. And being under the height you would like by a smidge hurt and then knowing he probably plays ball at 185, which is so far under what most NFL QBs play at, probably made him remove him from the first round grades. Plus, believe it or not, there is some pretty damning tape on Bryce when facing NFL talent.

To remove him from round one? That’s asinine. “Some bad tape” is human from any prospect. There was also tape of him absolutely shredding apart the best college football defense ever.

You have to understand that different people value different things. For me, I had Young as my QB3.

Stroud

Richardson

Young

Levis

I am of the belief that Young is as much of a boom or bust prospect, due to his frame, as Anthony Richardson. I think the top 3 guys deserved to go in the first. But my grade on each of them wasn’t a massive difference. I believe Stroud is plug and play into any offense year 1, Richardson will need to be a goal line guy year 1 for Minshew and Young you will need to tailor your offense to him a bit.

Size is definitely a huge factor for athletic profiles and probability of success.  If Young is successful, he will be the lightest qb ever drafted to have success.

I think Richardson wins that job year one. His tape isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be.

Highest throw away % in this class, his pocket movement is exceptional. His ability to read defense and call plays is already there..  His mechanics breakdown because he hasn't had a ton of football reps.

To add onto my previous post:

What I worry about with Young:

He admits he can’t really see much of the middle of the field. He relies on timing and knowing where guys are supposed to be. Who is our #1 WR this year? DJ Chark. What is the big knock on Chark? He doesn’t stay on the field. So if he and Young can’t link up with their timing because Chark tends to miss a lot of games and practices that hurts anything you want to do over the middle with him.

Who is our 2? Adam Theilen. He is about to be 33 years old and played a full season 1 time in the last four years. He misses games and practices. Again, think about the timing for Young and what this does to him.

What is the knock on Young? Not a great arm and his size. He’s very slim for the NFL. If he already doesn’t have a great arm and he gets dinged up during the year his arm is going to go from NFL acceptable to uh oh. And that will hurt his outside passing game if he lacks zip. And if you can’t throw outside, and can’t trust throws inside due to timing and not being able to see, its a recipe for disaster.

He has the talent to overcome this stuff but I would feel a lot better if we still had DJ as the 1 for him to throw to.

I love Richardson and I am a Gator guy for life. I just think the Colts organization promised the starting job to Minshew. And Minshew has spent this offseason working out with Richardson in Florida so I think they had an idea they would wind up together. I’ve been on board with telling people his numbers are going to look a lot better in the NFL than they did at Florida.
