    • I do kinda still feel he's destined to go to NE as well, but really only because two of the best Wildcats of all time are also Patriots legends in Gronkowski and Bruschi (plus he's a fit there). If they're picking ahead of us, I'm hoping they strike out on a LT in free agency, as if they do, they need to protect Maye, that's probably more important for them right now than getting him a WR. And I still think a defensive pick makes sense with their HC being a former defensive player and them using their 1st on a QB last year.  Two straight Top 5 picks on offense for a defensive HC in his first 2 seasons just seems unlikely as well.
    • Right but there's no reason we can't invest a 2nd or 3rd round pick in another young QB as an insurance policy. It's crazy that basic notions like this about what is best for the team elicit such emotional tomfoolery and poo reactions. I can guarantee you if Canales wants to be a successful head coach he feels the same way about the position.
