If Drake Maye was in this draft would you pick him over Young?

Dunno, haven’t researched Maye. The only thing I do know is that he won’t be as highly thought of next year as he is this year. “Next year’s draft class is better syndrome”

The next great (or even decent) NFL QB from UNC will be the first. I'm glad we will have our franchise guy and won't have to worry about Maye in the next draft.

Drake Maye is good but he is going to be picked apart this time of year just like everyone else.  We don’t know his mental makeup but I do know his bloodlines say extremely grounded.  I am not a huge Caleb Williams fan personally but Drake is extremely level headed and very talented.  He has to be the leader for #1 next draft.  Not perfect though 

My question really early is can Drake improvise and make plays on the move.  He will probably be facing competition concerns.  His performance next season will be interesting

Young because he won a national championship, played in the toughest division and is a great skilled player. 

Maye can only claim the third thing - he is a great skilled player.  Let's see how he plays next year...

He’s the only one I can think of that painted his nails to trash an inferior team only to lose the game after doing it. It’s a bit childish even if you win but it’s like calling your shot in baseball and then striking out. It makes you look stupid and it makes your team look even worse when your team has so much more talent than the team that just upset you.

It is the experience of playing at the highest level and winning the game. How many players get to do that in their college career. It is a big deal.

He threw for nearly 400 yards and 3 TDs. He did his part.

I honestly don't care about the first two criteria. You'd miss out on most of the greatest QBs in NFL history of you demanded to check all three boxes.

But it isn't an indicator of talent,means your overall team was better than the rest, and it's a lottery to get in the final four anyway, so it's really the team the voters think is the better team

There are plenty examples of bad QBs winning the national championship,it is not an indicator of NFL talent

You know who else won a national championship, won the Heisman, played in the SEC and went number 1 in the draft? Yeah, Cam Newton and he is on Youngs side. Maye isn't even a consideration at this point.
