I get your are a UGA fan, but Bryce (#1 pick) and Bennett (might go undrafted) are polar opposites as NFL prospects. He obviously has nothing to prove in college as he won 2 championships, but even with that his NFL career is backup at best.

More than just a fan...just saying.20220623_144354.thumb.jpg.3bc1ce65d5f3af26942169d63cc981c5.jpg

Athens is a great city. Several of my high school friends went there. I’m an Auburn fan/alum myself so I understand the loyalty. UGA has been crushing it though so congrats!

So let's go woth a guy who is the smallest and lightest QB's in the modern era at number one, because he scored well on a test he's been practicing since high school.

If you actually cared about the truth instead of just pushing your qb preference you would clearly know thats not how the s2 test works.  There are plenty of places to get the scientific info saying that doing it multiple times doesnt help.  They said from freshman year in high school to entering draft you wouldn't see any major improvement, the biggest jump you could expect to see in that time frame would be maybe 5 points.  What it tests is basically genetic.

Some of us are "young" enough to remember back to when sports news was limited to weekly/monthly mags. I recall a QB who was labeled as just a little mentally slow. Since then Terry Bradshaw has been riding that horse to the bank every week for forty+ years.

TBF, his elevator doesn't go all the way to the top floor. But he was a hell of a QB and has earned more money than I would in 100 lifetimes.

Well that seems wrong. It's not an IQ test and everyone who has scored low hasn't succeeded in the NFL. If Stroud really got a low score (which seems accurate at this point given his answer) then he'll be an outlier. The data they've collected thus far points to Stroud being a dud.

If Young succeeds at his diminutive size would he not also be an outlier?

And there's been plenty of people with vast football knowledge that DO put stock into the test, more so than its deniers.  You can't just choose the side you agree with as the one telling the truth.  Also saying that CJ Stroud might be a dud isn't a false statement, its simply a prediction based on his processing ability.  Whether that will be proven true or not in the future remains to be seen.

As much as Young is an outlier due to his size, CJ will be just as much an outlier due to his processing.  I really do wish CJ luck, but I think he's going to need a very good team around him to excel at the NFL level.

How could he have amassed the stats he has in college (similar to Young) if he was a poor processor? Just asking.

    • They reached for Pickett, so they are not immune to it.  I could see that as well.  I just think the Colts are flying under the radar and they have been too quiet concerning their QB situation--of course, they could think Jones is their guy (they had a good one named Jones a long time ago) but I think they are done with the Richardson experiment.   Even if I believed in Jones, I would still draft a QB--I also read one mock that said the Jets would take Sanders if he falls to 7---I disagree, but I was once wrong and it still bothers me.
    • I just switched to prime video with fanduel south. Will I be able to watch the Canes playoff games still?
    • I mean, you can use that "logic," but the problem is that most practice squad players, backups or average guys don't put the play on film that Wharton did when given their opportunities.  Perhaps you'll end up right, but I don't think that just because a guy has been in a rotation makes him inherently less productive because he gets more snaps. I will say that the KC fans I've seen on social media loved him, and considered him their second best DT,  regardless of his "rotational" status, and generally considered him a dawg, so I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt until he shows otherwise.
