Colts are probably inquiring about trading up which could explain the odds shifting.

in before

"we were sneakily in for Stroud all along and did in fact buy in at his pro-day, we're gonna duke the Colts into a R1 trade, gain a 2024 1st back, and let the Texans grab Bryce" Stroud at 4 to CAR!"

You forgot 1 extra piece.

*ahem* We draft MHJ next year with that Colts top pick to reunite him with Stroud.  Then we all live happily ever after!

-Or the Colts finish last and we auction that pick for a huge haul while also landing MHJ!

I think they should take the guy that they think is best regardless of who the media thinks is the best, or who the fans think it will be. But yeah, if they’re gonna take Levis they should have done something to cool the Young hype and clue us in.

Based on that, and on the reports that the team didn’t want the fan base to be blindsided, I still think it’s Young. All their breadcrumbs have pointed to Young as you said. But if not, just lol.

I don't buy the notion that the team is "dropping breadcrumbs". Nor should they.

The team doesn't owe the fans advance information. And frankly, they'd be silly to let any such thing get out there given that other teams could be paying attention too.

Huddle hissy fits aside, the fans will ultimately get behind whoever the team picks, including the people who actually silly and proclaim they'll stop being a fan.

I ruled out Levis being our number 1 pick.... but I am excited about the possibility. This NFL draft could go down the exact same way the NBA draft went down for the orlando Magic.

Everyone was ruling out Paolo Banchero, saying he was too slow and couldnt play 2ways in the NBA. The media and the league were thinking that Poalo would be the third player taken off the board.... Orlando Magic kept everything close to chest.....

mocks had them taking Jabari Smith or Chet Holmgren...

They ended up with Paolo.. and Paolo is a bonified superstar. If this were to repeat itself in the NFL... I'd be so happy. Ofc Levis would need to be that superstar.

I thought the phrase was "pissed in your corn flakes".

Will Levis is a master troll it would be hilarious if he moved betting lines by trolling his friends.

Honestly, I wouldn't bet on Will Levis having said anything.

The whole story is probably bullsh-t.

How hard is it for you to understand this fan base does NOT want Levis?

How hard is it to understand I don't give a sh-t, and neither does the team.

They're going to pick the player they think will do the best job. It's not up for a fan vote, nor should it be.

I would add that I wouldn't bet on you knowing the temperature of the entire fanbase 😆

    • i think i go in the opposite direction of most. my ideal retirement is living in some old downtown area in a flat above some shop or something.  life out in the country was just something i got real tired of. My kids actually miss some of living out there, which i understand. that was where they grew up for the most part. 40 acres with a 2.5 acre pond. it was beautiful, but also way too much (and too expensive) for me to keep up with.
    • FLASHBACK: I remember back when ESPN was just starting--he was their anchor.  They used to show stuff like Rodeo and field hockey--I remember laughing when he went to a commercial mocking a cycling competition in Utah (or something similar--I made that up) and I laughed.  I told my dad, "We may have us a new anchor when we get back from commercial."  When they came back from commercial, Berman was looking very serious and he said, "Any comments by me do not reflect the views of ESPN....The men and women who cycle are dedicated athletes and we are honored to shine light on their sport." (Paraphrasing).  Dad laughed hysterically. My first memory of him--and that was like 1980.
    • Might not have a team without them. Although that probably applies to the Panthers, too.
